Different cultures
I was just texting with my friend the former Abbess Aemiliane and
I was just thinking about Trump and America. I thought about our culture of individualism and that it has fostered an unhealthy vainglory? In England people are self effacing and don’t take themselves so seriously. Here it’s a culture of self responsibility but the vain ‘flexing’ by the President without social consideration is unreal.
And I thought it’s maybe one of the pitfalls or tender spots to our democracy. Aemiliane responded: Yes strengths and weaknesses in each culture.
We each have the human condition but our cultures deal with it differently.

hmmmmm. . . i haven't known many english folk in my life, but i thought taking themselves too seriously is why they move like they all have sticks up their arses. just goes to show ya never can tell.
my strongest cultural belief is that where you have millions of people, you have millions of variations. i've heard that both england and the u.s.a. have millions of people.
i'm guessing that Abbess Aemiliane is from england. just guessing.
yes a generalization - but on a philosophical level - a culture can serve formats for the old human nature
to held in different ways.
