Depression is a BEAST!
Depression for me….
“The tide comes in, the tide comes in, the tide comes in, and the tide comes in,…but NEVER goes out! Throw in a hurricane or so a day…and you have it!!! Mind is flooded, drowned, and barely alive.”
Can anyone truly relate?
And low self esteem?
Try NO self esteem for me........

It will get better...I promise.
Take thing one moment at a time til things get a lil better.
You are right..it is a beast. But just like The Beast it is a liar and a thief! It lies to you to make you feel bad and it steals the little joy that you find. David and Goliath my brother...throw that stone and slay that beast!
I understand and can totally relate. I am here for you.
Ok, you know what\'s coming!!!! Go ahead, slap yourself up side the head.
Scg has a great answer for this. David and Goliath. Slay that beast. It is a liar and a thief. It will swallow up your happiness. Why do you let it?? You have enough to worry over, moment by moment.
Matthew 6:34 (NIV)
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own
A wORD FROM jESUS!!!
yes I can certainly relate ....Thea\'s things I need to fight all the time ...we have to stop that tide from coming in or at least give it some ware to go ...talking is one way of doing that ...depression is a beast we have to fight every day ....low self esteem or none as you say depression robes us of that ...the only way to get it back is to fight and to go about it a little at a time .....you need to build your confidence ....you need to learn to get comfortable around people and to know you belong there .....take good care of your self ...god bless
Many thanks to ALL of my GREAT friends:):):) Love you all!!!!!!!
THE MIRROR IS YOUR BEAST! IT WANTS TO TEAR YOU DOWN. BUT IF YOU TRY JUST A LITTLE MORE EACH DAY TO SEE JESUS IN THAT MIRROR, HE (OUR LORD) WILL CRUSH THE BEAST AND FREE YOU FROM YOUR DEPRESSION. YOU DON\'T KNOW HOW TO BE HAPPY, YOU ARE AFRAID OF THE HAPPY EMOTION. BUT AGAIN WITH THE HELP OF JESUS CHRIST YOU CAN SEE YOURSELF AS THE HANDSOME GUY THAT HE INTENDED YOU TO BE. YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL INSIDE, JIMMY, AND IT IS ON THE OUTSIDE TOO.
DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD AND HE WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART PSALM 37:4
I am finally here and able to respond to your journal entries... You asked if anyone could relate...
When I was truly at my lowest, I believed it would never, never stop...
I remember I would sit on the edge of my bed, praying to whatever God may have been listening at that time, for it to just stop... Just for a minute... So I could get my feet under me... Just for a minute...
It did not stop at that time... I was put on Disability for PTSD the first time I applied...
Although I experienced a great deal of grief regarding losing the abilities I had to be self sufficient, I can look back today and realize I WAS granted a reprieve...
Years have passed and I continue to work on my issues... Self esteem being one of them...
It HAS gotten better but, certainly I still have days and periods of time which are incredibly difficult...
I hear you... I truly do...
It gets better, it changes, it get\'s funky, it gets better, it gets funky, it changes, etc...
I believe, in my understanding, we are so very not alone... Far less alone than we realize... We just have the courage to reach out to others and express our struggles...
That brings a strength and healing many in this world will never experience...
Its a big beast that we can fight yes we can together my friend. Hugs
Yes I can definitely relate.
Hope you are feeling better and wishing
you peaceful days
