Depression in grief
There must be depression in grief. Smokey has been gone since Nov. 15, 2009. It is about one year six months now. I am so depressed. I have had interviews but no concrete job offer. I have been looking on and off (due to Smokey's death) since August 26, 2008. Now I go to the interview with the thought that they probably won't call me back so what is the point and it uses up bus money. I think I am in a full blow depression. I have a bad time sleeping straight through the night, my appetite goes up and down and negative thinking. My life sucks. I know the saying count your blessing or the good things in my life and I have a lot of them. This doesn't help me at all.
I have:
1 one wonderful grandson named Tyson
2 one and only wonderful daughter Lisa and son-in-law Grant
3 one wonderful man in my life named Dave
4 two wonderful brothers Don and Gerald (and his family wife 2 kids)
5 two maternal aunts, their husbands
6 lots of maternal cousins
7 few paternal cousins
8 a few good friends in my life
9 health
10 home
11 clothes on my back
12 faith in God through Jesus Christ
13 sunshine outside today
14 food in my belly - Dave cooks dinner every night
15 computer, internet and outlook express
16 television
17 I live in Richmond central so its easy to walk to malls, Save-On-Foods and bank
18 many many other blessings and good things in my life
I know all the above is true. It does not help when a person is in a depression. Mine is just physical depression like the loss of the love of my life Smokey and no job meaning tight on money, which sucks. One of my favorite things to do is go to church, lunch with Carol and go shopping. We had a gas and did it every other weekend. It was fun. I still go to church. Carol and I go to church when we can.
I am hoping a job will come through soon OR a miracle with money. I would take either one. I won't hold my breath for the money miracle. I am hoping a job would come through soon.
I will get through this depression soon. Things will turn around all in God's time. All the best to my Daily Strength friends and I hope things are going good for you from Diane Baillie
