I'm back to being addicted to my usual sleeping pills regiment, does someone have any advice for helping fall asleep, and to stop with the pills?

I dont fall asleep then. I literally stay awake all night thinking about how shitty life is and how the pills shut it out for 8 hours

you have reason to have trouble sleeping. try laying down earlier, witht he intent of getting up in an hour. from the time you first lay down, dont eat or drink anything but water. keep the lights dim or off, and just relax. if you lay down around 8:00 until 9:00 and then just talk online from 9:00 to 10:00 or 11:00 you should be asleep from midnight to morning. eventually youll get the sleeping habit back and wont have to struggle as much to fall asleep.

the key is to take the anxiousness of expecting to sleep away. giving your time to try and try again, should do this. letting you eventually fall asleep within the hours.

I agree with mr poor, who should also add me as a friend, \'cause I secretly love him as well. (but shh) I also get anxious when it\'s time to sleep..expecting to sleep never helps. My way of sleeping is blocking out anything I can think of by imagining something else entirely, but it\'s not very conventional, unless you\'ve also got a huge imagination and can start playing a story out in your head where you can literally see yourself living out another scenario.

I\'m like you. I need something to help me relax in the evenings. If I don\'t have it and I can\'t sleep I get up. I say screw it and go find something to do, whether its sit here and find someone to chat with, or go do the dishes I neglected earlier in the evening.

I find putting nice music on helps me to drift off. I find female voices soothing so tend to play them when I want to sleep but hey whatever you like. Another trick is to leave the radio on at night.
