definitely time to get a new therapist
I've been without my therapist now for a couple of weeks.
It's given me some breathing room and also a chance to
learn things from the afterglow of that marvelous and long term
experience and guidance.
I know that in a group I tend to get squirely brained and I realized
that may be an outlet of my passions not managed well (or better simply unmanageable by me -hence the condition I have).
And so I am seeing the need to just get a therapist again so that I have someone
to discuss things with - and therapized out of my system.
Time to take care of myself. Hug my loved ones, friends and family and just do
what's proper and responsible to keep things managed.
In light of all that I am starting to see that most folks in life have a prickly side.
My problem is that I want to live in grace and kindnesses. Part of my condition
was that I took in all the prickly shit people put out there to me - and took
it personally like I need to change or saw it as a motivator to firm myself up
inside. I see though as well, that people have prickly sides and kind sides too.
Here at the monastery they very much live in their prickly sides
and offer not apology for being a byotch or not being understanding and reasonable.
That being said I have kind of been coming to a place of just accepting that shit
as just a given here and with most people - yet knowing too that I am lucky enough
to have a few precious folks in my life who I share values and kindness with.
It's really wonderful enriching and lovely to know this and be able to hold onto it.

When my psychologist moved due to significant family changes, we discussed the options I had available and the limitations I also had.
I agree with you that your comfort level of having a dependable source to listen and sound off for your well-being is necessary. Here's to you finding the way that works best for your well-being!
You rock!
Thanks Mid!! You’re amazing!!!
I so hope you find a therapist as amazing as your last. Maybe request consultations to help you decide if they’d be a good fit. I like this article that discusses questions you may want to ask a potential therapist. Best of luck and hugs!

i find myself wondering if you should try some live support groups. prayer groups? i don't wish to criticize the one-on-one therapy, but it pays to diversify. it takes a village to live a healthy life.
just wondering in a not-mine-to-sort sort of way.
I hope that you find a wonderful new therapist Marky
I agree with Arf that group therapy may also really help
The best therapy that I've ever had was group therapy for bipolar disorder
