Day 8: Saturday

I got up at about 9:45am, but forgot my meds until about noon. Took the Cymbalta, not the Wellbutrin. I had one cup of coffee when I got up. After lunch (1:30ish), I wanted another coffee 'cause I was starting to fade but needed to finish homework. And, because I just like having coffee after lunch. Instead, I started the process of cleaning the coffeemaker and made a cup of ginger tea instead. Perfetto!
I had a little of the twitchy leg thing going on today still. It hasn't gotten worse, but I've still had it every day. Also noticed that since Thursday my stomach has not been happy with anything that I have eaten. Feeling queasy pretty much all the time. So I looked up side effects of Cymbalta--sure enough, twitchiness and nausea are on list. In fact, the persistent nausea is on the "call your doctor" list. At least it's not on the "call your doctor immediately" list. I'll call her Monday morning since this isn't actually causing me to toss my cookies. Funny, the racing heart rate and twitchiness were not on the list for Wellbutrin. Did she take me off the wrong one? Whatever. For now, very glad that I have this record.
I had a big fade in energy this afternoon, but the ginger tea and a good rest helped me through it. I took a few hours off from homework to rest my brain. Now my homework is done, energy is not awful, and my brain doesn't hurt. lol
I have noticed, also since Thursday, that my knees have been hurting more and more by the day. I have not done very much moving, except for the odd Sun Salutation (yoga) and a few wall pushups Thursday. I have been sitting a lot at my desk all three days. I have not used the Voltaren gel. and I ran out the meloxicam sometime this week. Hand seem not too bad for the pain, but knees are at a 7.

\"homework done, energy not awful, brain doesn\'t hurt\" That\'s a big win! I\'m sorry you\'re having those side effects -- isn\'t it always the way? Racing heart rate must be scary..
For your knees... You could try Tiger Balm or Arnica gel, both health food store items if nowhere else. TB is best for muscle pain, arnica for joints.
Good for you for keeping up with your journal! :-)

Thanks, Jack! I have a prescription gel for the knees, I just haven\'t pulled out the new tube. I have one already opened somewhere and I can\'t find it! Do you ever do that? You know you have and refuse to open the new one? Well, no more. I\'ve decided the best way to find it is to quit looking for it. lol

I fund my little jar of TB last Sunday--under that bloody couch of all things! Might use that on my back if it persists.

The racing heart is sadly not a totally new thing. I had it for the last five weeks of my first son\'s pregnancy and most of my second pregnancy. And it\'s the reason I won\'t be having more children. They did every test possible during the first occurrence and concluded that it\'s not dangerous--nothing irregular, nothing dangerous, just fast. So it\'s annoying to be sure, but I am reassured to know that all the tests are good. I just have to be responsible and resist that second cup of coffee. Or go with half-caf. The ginger tea has been a great change as ginger is my go-to remedy for stomach issues and nausea. I lived on it when i was pregnant! lol
