Day 8: December 17, 2017

Today was actually a two part day. Since I found out about getting the $5,000 for investing, my mind has been racing on gambling. I wanted to sportsbet today so bad! I choose a couple games to watch them and see if I would have bet, what would have happened type deal. Well both games would have lost in a last second controversey. I would have ultimately rebought in and would have lost even more! It made me smile knowing my decision not to gamble saved me at least $1,000.

My mom and dad came today for the kids Christmas program. I had a little anxiety but I am trying to do everything I can do to remain positive. We played a lot of games so the time went by fast today. I also went to bed at 8pm last night which helped. 

This was a huge victory for me, given I survived four MAJOR triggors. 

1) Parents were around me.

2) Access to a good amount of money.

3) Weekend, which means access to a lot of games.

4) my wife was treating me poorly

So definately a victory this weekend. On to the next day!!
