Day 23 - yay!

No urges yet - I am so happy about that.  Thank you for your encouragement - I do think it would probably be better to say I have quit gambling, Barb.  I think the thing that holds me back is that if I didn't succeed, I would not only disappoint myself but friends as well.   I understand your point, though. I think as the days mount up, it will be easier for me... who knows why we have feelings of discomfort sometimes, I think it's just that I've failed so many times; it would again be so disappointing.
Thanks for the support - - - -odaat!

yep, doing it ODAAT is the only way to go...forward progress, even if it\'s one minute forward at a time........you can do this, look how far you have come. No doubting yourself, just work thru the problem at hand and move on to the next............being overwhelmed by things was a huge trigger for me, and I have to remember that even now................

23 days and you are doing fantastic. Huge Congratulations. I was also afraid to tell anyone that I had \"quit gambling\" because I was afraid that I couldn\'t do it. But, We are Doing It. One Day at a Time, Yes that is how it\'s done. Hugs, Lily
