Day 11 Self Improvement

Didn’t make any much progress today. I had a few smokes. Looks like this might be a marathon more than a sprint. I still want to stop for good.

I took the dog for a quick walk between the rain episodes and went to the shop.

planted garlic cloves. Noticed a few lettuce seedlings just starting to appear. Cut a couple of large zucchini and will freeze them tomorrow.

I didn’t weigh myself but I know I have been overeating.

watched a couple of Spanish teaching vids on YouTube and went on duolingo a few times.

watched Netflix, did online scrabble, watched tv. Ho hum

sounds pretty typical of life now....with us being on lock down here I am getting things set up to move money between the bank and credit union savings account from checking....and having things like dogs meds shipped to me rather than driving out to get them....and shopped on line for couple items last night when I woke early...should be her Wed now....I am pretty hunkered inside

A few smokes is better then all the smokes you may of had.( if you get me?) Any less is better. Your getting there. Your doing great.
Quiting smoking is no easy task.
Heck, I cheated I just swapped to ecig I didn't actually quit. I just vape now instead. Its insanely hard to do but as I said... even if ur only smoking say 3 less a day then u used to that's really great start. Just keep working on it and the rest.

Hugs.

I put painter's plastic over seedlings to protect them from frost.

Have you met the telenovela yet? Those are little Spanish language soap operas that run for a time then conclude before you feel like you need a divorce lawyer to get them out of your living room. TV turned beneficial for the sake of language study and it really does work if you work it. Listening to another language is half the battle. I especially like the telenovelas because they let you hear the same voice inflections over and over without too much monotony. My fave so far is, "Metasis," a Colombian jewel based on the US series, "Breaking Bad." Same story, just the first season, rewritten to fit Bogota realities. Even the main actors look allot like the US actors. Eerily so.

I still haven't made it to the Colombian Andes. So much world and so little time. . .

Yes times have changed for most people Bill, but not that much for me lol.
Thanks for the encouragement Sarah. Hopefully we will both be free of the nicotine one day. I vaped for a while but it gave me a wet cough so I went back to the fags.
Arfie, we don’t actually get frost here which is one less thing to worry about. I’ll see if I can find those telenovas. It may be a bit soon yet. I tried listening to the Spanish news on tv but it sounded like a machine gun, too fast. Colombian Andes. I’ll have to google that.
