Day 1 of Refresher
I'm not going to lie, it was a tough day. I've been out of an 18 wheeler so long that just simply sitting in the driver's seat got my adrenaline flowing a little. I did okay and no major concerns but I'm tired. It's gonna take a few hundred miles before I feel really ready. Today I drove about 25 miles but since I was more experienced than the other two people I was with, the instructor had me drive on narrow side streets to see what I could do. Apparently I did okay because he didn't tell too much.
Tomorrow more road driving and then Saturday some yard skills. Tomorrow should be a little bit smoother. I wish Schneider had Volvos. I miss the Volvo I used to drive. It hugged turns a whole better than that Freightliner. Well tomorrow should be at least a little bit better.

Good job Matt.
Stick with this. Your going to do okay. Obviously like you said, your instructed didn't say much. And you know, its during this time that an instructor is at their most critical.
Stay focused and relax. I always looked at a new job etc like this. If this person or that person or a thousand other people could do it. Well then, so can I.
Thanks for your care and concern, man! It means a whole lot! Hope you have a good night.
