Dave v Smokey.

Dave v Smokey.  I am in a conflict but will figure it out myself.  God helps me along the way as to do what is right or correct.  I am trying to figure out why I pick the same type of men again and again.  I have not had that great of luck with the men in my life.  A lot of them were not good men.  Smokey was the love of my life.  Smokey was not perfect either.  Neither am I.  No one is perfect on this planet.  It is the little quirks in our personalities.  Can we can live those quirks in another person?  Can they live with the little quirks in our personalities?  Some are not so little.   It is these not so little quirks that I have to figure out for myself.  I have come along way but there are a few things I have to really contemplate and pray about.     Life is not easy.  It would have been a lot simpler if God did not allow my Smokey to die in the first place.  I don't like where I am at the moment.  It all sucks.   On the bright side, the sun is shining outside.  I had a good lunch, conversation and game of Yahtzee with my brother Don.  My grandson Tyson is the current love of my life.  Babies are so easy to deal with as they are innocent.  There is no subterfuge with babies.  What you see is what you get!  It is a good thing.  I wish my life were a lot simpler and a lot easier.  It is  not.  I am getting through one day at a time.  I can't complain too much as God keeps His hands on me and doesn't let me go.  I can sigh and leave everything in God's hands.
All the best to those that have figure out their own lives and are doing good from Diane Baillie

Diane,
I certainly haven\'t figured out my life without Buddy in it. But what I have figured out is I have to do things every day that would otherwise not get done. I have to go to work because I have a home and responsibilities that require money. I have a family that loves me and needs me in their lives. I have a few friends that I go out with and we have fun. I take each day as it comes...and appreciate it because I am alive and I can still feel the sun on my face, the wind in my hair and the smell of everything blooming. To do these things I do not need a man but if one comes along and things develop into something I will even be happier....I think sometimes we put to much thought into things and should just go with what happens...Hugs,
Ellen

I sense that you are not at your happiest right now. Has Dave done anything to upset you. You should not have to settle for anything but the best. What about Dave\'s room mate, is he still in the picture?

I know it is very easy to compare Dave with Smokey, but all it does is cause you more grief. Why torment yourself more? Maybe God brought Dave into your life to help you grow and move on with your life, but maybe this relationship is not the answer for you. God will show you the way. I agree with Ellen. I can keep going without a man in my life. As much as I hate my life without Tony, I push myself to keep moving forward. One thing that is very new for me is that I am now very determined that people are going to accept me as I am. BIG hugs, Patti
