Dave's Christmas Party Dec. 18th - interesting

Dave's Chrismtas party was yesterday Dec. 18th.  It was interesting.  We all sat around at Lulu's Lounge in the Casino.  The boss Rick was not good at organizing it and failed to mention something really important.  It took one of the workers to check out the buffet and then passed on the information.  We did not know we were supposed to be registered at the Buffet thing as there is a line up to get in.  We were still sitting in the lounge at 7 p.m. when the person passed on the info and we all started to register ourselves.  The concert with the Fab four was at 8 p.m.  They gave us little hockey puck things and when it was our turn it would light up meaning we could go to the buffet.  Ours never lit up.  We finally went up to the buffet at 7:40 p.m. when one of the workers said we had a dud.  They had been paging us since 7:20 p.m.  We never joined the other group and sat by ourselves.  The buffet was good but I would never pay the kind of money for it at $30.  We were still eat at 8:15 so missed the entire concert.  A few that did go to it left because they were not enjoying it all.  We decided to gamble.  Dave went to the roulette table and bought $20 worth of chips.  He wasn't doing too well when he asked me to pick a number.  I picked number 17.  Dave won about $100 something.  We left and went home.  We took the Canada Line.  We were walking by Legends Pub and stopped in for one beer.  We walked home.  We spent the evening talking and having a blast and went to bed at 1:15 a.m.  We enjoyed ourselves together as a couple.  Dave was nice to split the winnings with me but he didn't have to as it was his own money.  Dave is a wonderful man.
Dave says that everyone chips in for the entertainment or Christmas fund.  He was so disappointed over the years that he said to me this is the last one for him.  I can't say that I blame him at all and would feel the same.
Dave is getting new flooring for the kitchen today.  He works for a flooring company and his boss gave him the tiles or whatever free.  He got someone to come in today to lay it all down for free.  It's not bad.  When I am finished with Carol S. today I will go to Dave's place and check it out.
I have to get going now as I have to get ready for church with Carol S.  After church we have lunch and Carol S. wants to finish her Christmas shopping.  I already finished mine.
All the best from Diane Baillie
