Dave realized the error of his ways & apologized sincerely
Dave realized the error of his ways and apologized sincerely to me about bugging me about my weight. I accepted his apology and said not to do it again ever. I thought I would keep everyone up to date. Dave can say thoughtless and mean things without realizing the effect it has on someone else. It is his nature. I know this by observation. Dave is not naturally a mean person. He has a good heart and soul. It's why I like him so much. Dave likes to help people and he does it all the time. Dave works for Kraus McMahon, which is a flooring company. People are always coming up to him and asking for his help & a deal. I said does it bug you that people take advantage of where you work. He said no but sometimes it does get on his nerve. Dave has offered some free flooring for my cousins who are re-doing Don's apartment. The hardwood floor is flawed and would have been thrown out anyways. Dave has donated it for Don's renovations. I said don't tell Don about it. Don is quick to take advantage of anyone. Dave has helped out some of his friends and gave them great deals. Dave fixed my dishwasher that I broke. I just had to buy the part for $6.71. Dave fixed it for me. If I hired someone to do it, it would cost me at the very least $100.00. We checked with Budget Appliance. Dave knows someone who is renovating their place and is giving away a TV stand. Dave is taking it and is going to give it to Don once the renovations are done, which will be by the end of next week.
I got a real handyman in Dave. Handymen are worth their weight in gold for everything they do.

Diane, I\'m glad he apologized to you, it takes a lot, and sometimes those three words \"I am sorry\" really mean a lot. And you are sure right, handymen ARE worth their weight in gold. I\'m really glad for you.
Take care,
Marisa
Diane, even if he did say im sorry,.. make sure he understands you will not accept this type of treatment!! end of story,. if he had such a issue with your weight, maybe he should have thought about that before getting this far with you, in your relationship,.. ..you let him into your heart, NOW,. let him know, under ANY circumstances, you will not tolerate this type of talk from him, and especially, his friend Don jumped in too??? really?, Dave should have jumped down his throat, with both feet, for opening his mouth, about you. handy man or not, make sure, he starts worshiping thew ground you walk on, before letting him in again,.. just my thoughts, havent talked with you for a while, and hate that he has said this to you,..and his friend jumping in, on you too?? no way,.... hoping the best for you,. your friend, Dave
It is good that Dave has repented. Hopefully, this is a hurdle that you will not have to face again. Keep your ground with Dave about his friend Rob.
I sure know about the value of handymen! My Tony was very talented at so many things and saved us a LOT of money over the years. One of the MANY things I miss! Hugs, Patti
