Dad's Birthday

Today my dad would have been 59 years old. I still miss him like crazy. I wonder what he would think of my life now... I know he would be proud of me for getting my BA in Biology and working my butt off to get it. I don't know how he would feel about me being on disability and about Geo as well. I think he would just be glad that I found someone who treats me so well. That's what I hope, anyway.
I've been really depressed and sick lately, so I haven't been journaling. I have a sinus infection and possibly getting the flu. Geo has the flu, so I could have caught it from him. I've been suffering for a while now with all this stuff. I've been sitting in my recliner just staring at the walls or sleeping. I've been going to the gym as well... just something to distract me from my life. I walked the mile and a half home today afterwards, too. I can't wait until I'm strong enough to walk to the gym both ways. I know I can do it!

Larissa i just know your Dad would be way proud of you.... you are an amazing person who encourages others and also is so full of determination even when you are down you still keep fighting to get back up! I think you are right about what your dad would think of Geo he would be so happy that you are happy in your relationship and that he treats you good.... thats the important things that a parent wants for their kiddo. Im so sorry you are missing your dad i know i still miss my mom very much even 26 yrs later.

larissa, what inner strength you have, even with being sick and depressed you get yourself to the gym and walk too. it takes extreme energy to do that when you are down and you are right, doing exercise is actually so helpful for your emotions, not just to get out of the house but also for your emotional state. I truly understand you missing your dad, it never seems to go away, it has been 24 yrs. since peter died and I miss him still. I cant even stand the thought of my dad dying and he is 89. I believe that your dad would be very proud of you and happy you have found someone who loves you for you and you love in return, that is what, as parents, we all want for our children. many hugs and feel better

hope your exercise works for you! try staying outside more. they claim humans need a minimum of ten minutes per day outdoors, even if its sleepin on a lounge outside. it will make a difference.

if i drink chocolate soy milk and eat a green salad, also yogart, i usually feel great afterward and get in really good moods.

It\'s in the low 80\'s here (today, not now). Nice and breezy. I went for multiple walks.

Great job with going to the gym and being sick. Just be careful since, your resistance is low you can catch something while you are out. Take care and get well
