Crutches
It's not pride damaging enough to have to beg the Muscular Dystrophy Association for crutches. But weeks go by and you call and call because you never them. but then you get a call and get told , oh something happened, and they have to be ordered again...Weeks of anticipation, waiting for the mail delivery and getting disappointed. bouncing off walls, and floors daily...getting more bitter by the day. Feelings I Believe are justified, yet somehow I feel like a dirt bag for feeling the way I do. I don't have a clue how I should feel, i only know I feel worthless, and pissed off for begging in the first place

It's not right that you have to beg the Muscular Dystrophy people for crutches, it should never come to that. You should have had your crutches weeks ago. I am disappointed with them too. You have every right to feel let down and even bitter. I hope they deliver them quickly you are already black and blue from falling.
I also have a hard time with even asking people for things. If I had it my way I would never depend on a single soul for a single thing. But that's obviously a fantasy. I learned by watching my father, who I don't get along with sometimes, that you can have pride and still do whats necessary without any loss of it. He is a ridiculously proud person to the point where its as if it is the very meaning of life. And yet he is perfectly capable of kissing ass if he feels the health and wealth of himself and his family depends on it. He can go as low as to apologize meekly for something he knows very well is not his fault but the fault of the person he's apologizing to and not for fear but practical effectiveness. I personally think he secretly takes pride in these kinds of things as well. I hope you can find a way to feel the way that you want to feel. I give you my sincere hopes and wishes and prayers.
