Cried today, but didn't care...

Who knew just letting it all out would hurt yet feel good at the same time?  I CRIED and cried hard, but to be honest it's the only time I let it all out since I first got the news about Greg's passing.  (Besides a few tears at night.)  I guess I've been trying to be so strong and what's even better I told my husband, I've been feeling LOST.  He doesn't have any kids and Greg was 18 when I married Wes.  He had no idea, I was still hurting, i got a real good cry and a wonderful hug today.

After four years of this, I know that crying (and yes, screaming if necessary) is good relief! I KNOW exactly what you mean about it hurting but feeling so good. Damn, it feels good to cry it out! In time I promise you that you will recognize that getting it \"out\" is so much better than trying to hold it in. You are not doing yourself (or anyone else) any good by not letting go. Please feel free to talk to me any time...You know I lost my 33 year old Michael to heroin overdose in 2008 and my remaining son, Jason, is recovering. I got a clue for you: don\'t expect Wes to understand and do not worry that he does not. Take care of YOU. Again, any time you need to talk, I am here for you. Hugs, Belinda

My husband, bless his precious loving heart, has no idea I still scream in the shower sometimes. I do. It\'s private time; primal, painful, healing time for me. It \"hurts so good\"....to just let the dam break and free fall into release and relief.

Cry, scream, vent, whatever, and whenever, you feel the urge. For me, healing comes in those moments of surrendering control.....and feeling the feelings.

\"....I got a real good cry and a wonderful hug today\"....... POWERFUL!

Love you!

It is like a little teapot heating up...I know that when this happens, if I don\'t cry I will explode. So, release that pressure with tears whenever you need to! Gentle hugs...Karen

Tears are liquid prayers and so very cleansing and healing. Grateful that you are getting it out and that this will be the beginning of allowing them to flow when you need to.

There is no strength in grief or reason to be strong. The strength comes from feeling what you need to and allowing it expression as you did.

May those tears and hugs continue to be yours and I\'m sending lots of loving care your way.

I think all the crying helps us get it all out...I really feel it is beneficial. I don\'t think I would have come as far as I have if I hadn\'t cried all those years. xoxoxo Connie
