crazy day, a lot got done......
debbie came to clean today. in addition to cleaning the downstairs once a year she goes upstairs to dust, tidy, vacuum. she helped move all the things from the two bedrooms into the big bonus room. it's divided into three areas. the left wall is things to keep for now. the middle aisle is stuff to sort out, the right wall is stuff to sell. once i know where i am going i will be able to offload even more things......
you cannot believe the relief i feel with this effort begun....seeing so much done. debbie carried a chair and cardtable up there so i could sit and sort. sara is supposed to come soon to see what she wants in the closets......bruce is coming in the morning to mow.......thank goodness. i have a field of dandelions which look very pretty, but the weeds are trying to take over!
debbie also helped move the big table out of the kitchen into the garage, replaced by a smaller table. she put the antique desk against the wall, so i have a new computer configuration. i need to get used to it.......it's a very pretty piece, but i'm not crazy about the monitor sitting on top of this pretty desk. just not sure about it yet........but i like all the little cubbies & drawers......i can pull my keyboard out onto this fold down desk and type away......it looks pretty adorable.
debbie picked out a pretty shower curtain for the upstairs bathroom......and fresh towels. i turned so red debbie got scared. i've always turned red with exertion. ALWAYS. fire engine red.......she kept stopping me to drink water and to just sit. when i get fired up i forget about limitations and i do things that i will pay for over the rest of this week.
it's an amended form of adrenalin i think......having debbie hear to help inspired me. there is still a lot to sort through.......a lot alot! but every little bit helps........having two rooms empty is a big bit of wonderful!
next up? the hall linen closet and the two bedroom closets. dreading it......but it's all got to be handled.
moving on.......tomorrow Kari & Ryan come home......yay! I made fudge brownies & rice crispy treats for the family July 4th party tomorrow. i filled a container for Kari & Ryan, then i made a pasta bake dish for me for the rest of the week......well i made smaller casserole dishes of this pasta bake......and took half over to Kari and ryan's house with the two desserts........made them a note to welcome them home!
i am about to throw up.........oh my goodness. uh oh...........whenever i overdo this always happens. i have to go lay down stat. sorry bout this........hugs!

Slow down, girl! I know what you mean. I get beet red too when I overdo. Try to get cooled off. Your internal temp probably went up. I'm glad Debbie came to help, though. It's always easier to get stuff done when there is someone there to "spit on your fingers." That's the phrase my grandpa used to use for someone providing moral support so you could get something done. Love you.
We do tend to overdo, don't we! So glad to hear that you have all this good stuff, and tidying going on! The woman in us needs tidy! Than goodness for Debbie!

How kind that you made that pasta bake and treats for your neighbours after already looking after their cat. I must say Debbie has been so reliable and such a great help to you. Remember the last cleaner Ruthie. You know Ruthie...you really get a lot of things done. You always have some project happening. I'm all fired up now to start eliminating things from this house. Just hope I can actually make it happen rather than just think about it. When I heard on the news that North Korea might just send off a nuclear missile that could reach Northern Australia , I felt like eliminating heaps of stuff and heading south..QUICKLY !!!
