COVID is rough
It's the weekend and I got up early, shaved, showered and dressed and went out to Starbucks
for my weekly treat a hot Chai Latte. It was still kind of dark out when I was there but part of
me wanted to sit at the outside cafe tables and just hang. I was the only customer there.
I just came home. I am so lucky to have Blue to look after. Not really being able to socialize is rough
big time. I know it's the same for everyone, I just feel like being around friends and I have to make due
in some way. So, I am writing here...
Also my therapist is going on vacation this week and so I won't talk to her again until the 25th.
She's really been a lifeline for me - and though she said I could send her emails.. I won't do that.
She deserves a good long time with no worries or cares...I'll probably be on here more often,
I must admit, it's going to be a rougher time but I can do it.. I hope! :)
I hope you guys are having a good weekend. I wonder if we can start an online game in a thread here...
Kind of like Irishwriter's Lounge party?
Peace,
Mark

My Therapist is also my lifeline and she is going on a vacation in two weeks also. Right at the time, I have shoulder surgery. Not looking forward to that as I have some surgery anxiety based on my experiences in the military. ECT doesn't bother me now because I know the process. My military surgeries went less than well and I ended up in the ICU for a long time that also didn't help. I will probably email and text my therapist during her week off. I need it.
good wishes for your surgery Thor.
Good Morning Mark
I hear you about your therapist, she is the one person I can count on talking to each week for an hour. Recently, since Monday I came out of my deep depression which has lasted since the beginning of June...crazy how it shifts and Oh My I have energy and motivation again....feeling very good! I decided to Really Do my humming bird butterfly garden Right this year, cutting Everything down to the ground, raking up all the layers of mulch and putting weed barrier down...I'm almost done cutting back. Today Is Amazing, a breeze, a bit on cloudy side, great for outdoor working. :)
I too Loved Loved the Roosevelt documentary...especially Eleanor, she must have been a sad woman...Definately and Amazing Woman!!! Here is a guy that I could watch all day...he is Amazing, even better he doesn't talk, has a beautiful dog that has a red toy it runs around with and the most delightful music to watch as he builds in the wilderness of Canada. I've been watching him for about a year/half...you can go all the way back and see him start from scratch with just Woods All Around...Knock my socks off crazy the way he is so focused...wishing I could stay focused, my mind goes off track frequently :( My newest trick t o get off the computer, I bought for a $1 at the dollar store a tiny timer, otherwise I get lost on computer for hours. I've got 20 minutes left :)
Have a Wonderful day...
thanks mlr!
It is rough right now for sure..... You can have social distance visits with people if you want to Mark.... I would just stay outside and have your chairs at least 6 feet apart....
That's what Dan's doing now and that's safe..... I know you're in an apt but what about your folks.... Do they have a yard you can visit in?
Dan keeps his powder room for visitors and they wear a mask and wash well when they're in there and he cleans it well when they leave....... Big hug sweetie... I hear you.....xo
Thanks Jan!!
