course starts on Thursday
My course is starting on Thurday morning. I'm now looking forward to the challenge and am hoping for good stuff to come from it. I have a bit of stuff to complete and then I'm perfectly ready. It will be a course given one day biweekly. But it will be strictly run. It will give me something to do during the summer months for a change and it will be about self improvement.
This month I am attempting to not let things requiring money control me or money itself to not control me. It is so tempting to do certain things as mainstream society does. But I'm too marginalised here to make that work easily. So I'm looking forward to the course and hopefully different ideas for dealing with the social isolation that is my constant companion. As a result I'm going to be studying Buddhism again as a means of getting a perspective on how to survive with fewer desires of importance. It is the senses that bring Tinsel Town to life in my life. And without the attention paid to what the senses, eyes, ears, taste touch etcetra are giving me as messages I'd be happy with a lot less.
On the otherhand I have given up activities of volunteerism and meetings based on personal values and have not found anything to fill the void, as of yet. This adds to the dilema and I am controlling myself from trying to be a hero by presummably right things that are wrong. But I have not the power to do that. That is the roll of others, who are not really interested. So better I clam up. I miss not being a part of anything. I am thinking of joining a GAY group in a neighboring community. That would fill a hole for me I do believe. So my outline of activities is drawn up for me.
