couple things
I know I got kind of crazy yesterday with my writings.
I have to confess I felt truly strange and not so good this morning
when starting work, but I was determined and the work helped me
go go go. I think in part I have to see that work - vs. my days off yield different kind
of fruit...eh?
This job has been a lifesaver. Not only financially but for my health as well.
Going there this morning helped put me in a better frame of mind.
I should think about that aspect if I ever consider going somewhere else to work
and how the new work might 'couch or catch me' as I have to cope with my mind and how labile
it can be.
I also thought about the idea of 'making things work.' I was talking to a photographer
once and he said he can make business whereever he chooses as he can 'make it work.'
I thought about that idea - today when I came home... Like if I were to go to the monastery to live..
it wouldn't all be lilacs and roses. It would be hard work - probably I'd be put to work - but also
I'd need to make it work with a determination and commitment to get along.
That thought kind of empowers me to look beyond the pretty picture and feel enabled - or empowered
to work outside the coloring lines - with grit - to make and build a life...
Anyways - just thoughts - my mind is kind of funky right now- but I have therapy to look forward
to shortly. :)
I hope all's well. Keep on keeping on!!!

Try taking photographs on your walk, with Blue, to get an idea of that 'look' that you might be considering as calming.
You're doing a great job of making your mind adapt!
thanks Mid!
Hm-m-m-m. . . If thems was crazy writings, I'm a whole heap worse off than I thought I was. My daily journal has gotten so looney toon that I still need to keep it off-line. Not even NSA can open my spiral notebook remotely.
When some of my loonier tunes just won't leave me be, I channel the thought loops into finding out what it would take to make ^it^ happen. Most often the dream peters out to nothing, but it's allot easier to let go of nothing than to suppress a dream and what I learn in the process is mine to keep forever. E.G. I may not ever get to be a river pirate, but the education about watersheds and hydrology can come in handy, even on the prairie. Maybe more so here. Water is a far more precious resource here than in the river region.
Getting back on topic. . .
Have you discovered the nuts and bolts of gaining entry into a monastery? I doesn't know, but I bet it's tougher than growing a desire to escape the outside world.
Thanks Arfie. I can’t assume it would be easy is true.
I really am noticing so much that if I create or dream up an image in my head of what to do with my time
I can so often then be shy of the getting started part.. and I've maybe said this before in different ways - I feel like
NOT EXPECTING a pretty picture - and the idea of 'making it work' - really has me so excited about the day
and endeavoring on my path. Others' "pretty pictures" should not derail me or make me feel less than.
I love my life and I guess sometimes I just need to remember that.
It's great that you appreciate your job Marky..... I know that you have gotten a lot out of going to the monastery and there's no reason that can't continue... A lovely and peaceful time away is nice for sure.... Big hug.... xo
Thanks Jannie!!!
Yup, I believe you have said that before in many different ways. I also believe you have sold yourself short on how many ways you have already taken those first steps and how many ways you are already **making it work.**
Believe in yourself and give credit where credit is due, Marky Pooh.
Thanks Arfie!
