Continuing the experiment
I've been continuing to sleep on the right side of my body, and the rate of healing there has jumped drastically. I'm talking about visible changes from morning to evening. I can actually measure the changes day-to-day!
I may be entering a manic period, but I'm feeling great - better than usual, especially for this time of year! Normally, I'd be massively depressed; SADD on top of clinical depression, on top of seasonal post-holiday depression. But this year, since beginning my transition and coming out to my family, I'm not that bummed out.
I go back to the surgeon on the 3rd - imagine his surprise when he sees just how much it's healed since the last time.
I actually feel like dancing.....
On another note, I've cut back on the testosterone booster - cut the dosage by half, and the sudden quick impulses of violence have stopped.
I also didn't gain weight over the Thanksgiving holiday - unlike every year of my life before. Maybe I've finally found the combination that works for me.
Life isn't perfect by far - but it's getting better, and I'm glad! Step by step, I work on finding the way every day. Some days are better than others, but thus far, each day has been better than the same day last year.
I call that progress. I'll accept whatever progress I can get - and recall the advances I've made every time I backslide.
I keep telling myself I'll make it somehow. I may be broke and marginally self-employed - an overgrown hobby, really - but things could be worse. And right now, they're better than they were.
Yes, I feel like dancing.
