conquering discouragement
I think there's a part of me that gets discouraged very easily. My mind is in the frame set
of being aware I have a 'faulty filter' aka the illness and I think in part this compounds within me
a frailty when it comes time to venturing out beyond safe zones, like my home or with family.
I tend to do things that are very much about numbing out to the world at large, passive entertainments
and eating food and so on.
Part of me looks for approval on a global level - which is not the best thing I am realizing - but I think more so
if I find any kind of resistance out there to my venturing forth - I shouldn't raise the white flag so easily. Maybe
if somebody and I don't mesh well...maybe I should just keep going....eh? Or maybe if an activity and I don't have
immediate success...maybe I should just keep going?? - These are just thoughts - but they are encouraging me - it's some light of mind to me.

Again I wonder if between us, there is balance. My hyper, bull-headed nature listens to discouragement as readily as it listens to a mosquito swarm. Yea, I hear it. Is it supposed to mean something to me? Swat, swat. When I feel discouraged, I just try harder. I try harder enough to escape noticing how long it has been since I've eaten or slept, much less worried the vague esoterics such as consequences and/or what I grind under the wheels of my progress. It took me a long time to recognized that it's okay to be discouraged enough to pause for self-care, etc. Taking a break is not equal to giving up.
Trade you some of my ^it^ for some of your ^it^?
Big squishy hug Marky...… I think that you are a dear and you are so hard on yourself.....
You try very hard to do the best that you can and remember that you have an illness that can be pretty trying at times to say the least
