compassion for my therapist

my therapist is so self sacrificing. she has been there for me so much.

when I haven't been able to come on here - she's been there - and

when I've need individual attention (which I've needed in a big way.)

She's also offered to me the

ability to email her or leave a voicemail whenever I need...which is HUGE!!

I wrote her an email this morning - but I am not going to send it until

Monday morning. It's a consideration that's important to me as I feel finally healthy

and empowered and awake to think about her needs and put things in a healthy enough perspective

and how she needs a weekend just like any of us.

I feel good about this. I wrote this earlier and I just wanted to post it now.

I’m just thinking about how we all have strengths and weaknesses like I posted about in the last journal and that thought has made me think about her and how much she gives even so.

i solidly admire pros who are ready, willing and able to get up off their self-importance and go the extra mile for their clients, but, at the end of the day, they are just doing the job we are paying them to do.

as a fellow patient and peer supporter, i find myself wanting to guide the focus on this entry to how well you, the client, are doing at regaining your emotional independence. way to do the do, marky poo. the diminished contact is for **your** benefit more than hers. she's a professional, not a girlfriend.

thanks arfie. I really appreciate it. I must admit last night and this morning I'm feeling seriously like I am taking two
step backwards...but I am accepting my condition and coming on here to honor 'it.' I wonder if I have been trying to perfect things too much. It's such a miserable thing - but I think the act and agency of coming on here and writing about it
is helping me feel some element of personal capacity to function.
Have a peaceful and wonderful day!

i don't care to do the research, but i feel confident i dig deeper holes by trying too hard than i do from doing nothing. maybe that's just because i'm far more human doing than human being. anything worth doing is worth over-doing.

for sure, i'm still believing you need to allow for more self-trust, spontaneity and adventure in your life. just believing in a not-mine-to-sort sort of way. you are the one with all the inside data. keep sorting. your answers are in there.

thanks arfie. i really appreciate it. today is a better day. i've decided after next pay check I am going to the garden center to
buy a pot, dirt and seeds. I am going to grow plants from infancy to adulthood on my balcony.
When I lived in Dorchester, Mass. briefly, as I would walk home from the metro, I would walk past an empty lot
that included an abandoned house. I went to the local store and bought loads of flower seeds...multiple kinds
and then scrambled over the fence and just scattered the seeds all over.
I wasn't there too much longer so I never got to see if there was a magical explosion of life on this abandoned land.
But it's a cool idea to think neighbors might have opened their gaze upon this blooming yard and wondered "what the heck!?" :)
