commonality and absolutes - why I tend to look for or use 'we'

For the way my illness has affected me is to experience extreme

isolation and alienation and not a really good sense of co existence with others.

That's how it was in the beginning of my journey - when I came to DS and was living

at a board and care- ....before realizing my need to

be self responsible to survive and get along in life and that everyone

else is very much given the same task.

I realize that as I have wrote about and looked for commonalities in my life (something my therapist very much

appreciated) I may have gone for some absolute answers at timews - and because

of that - I've needed to be humbled by life - again but still moving forward

taking care and each morning waking up to a new disposition

which sets me on the path for the day - for taking care. That's

something I thought about today - that each day we're all waking up

having to deal with the night's sleep changes within us - and get back

to taking care of life- and the commonality of figuring things out -

The Elder added me to his group chat on Telegram and he and the monastics

are going back and forth about life issues - as well as religious references.

It's the same for them too. They're attacking the new day with a new nut to wrangle

like a squirrel wondering where to put the acorn. I know for me - the use of commonality

helps me not feel so alone with my illness. So different or so isolated.

By realizing I am not so different, it reassures me and it sets me on the path daily to keep on keeping on.

I hope you guys are having a wonderful morning. You are my tribe.

Peace and good stuff,

Mark

Also when I realize a commonality it gives me a sense of the normality I’m experiencing, it also gives me a boost of agency.
