coming from work

had a good day at work today... got a lot done and over all things

were good..I came home with a sense of happiness about doing a good

job, as well as having told my boss some very important news. She

was cool with it - and very generous. She's such a good person.

I thought about a lot of things while working today. About being in love

with someone at work - yet also being self preserving to not indulge too much thought

about it and to preserve my heart from breaking. Fantasy love and partnership no mixie.

No worries, things are good, I just

felt from the heartache the respect I gained for other people and their hearts.

I drove home, sort of uncomfortable about driving (as usual) - the drive home

from work is always the most loathed form of driving lol. Call it my need to be released

to total freedom and yet having to be responsible to mind the speed limit and the many cars

along the way. I know I must sound silly...but anyway - I came home and my heart was kind of

aching and then I had my lunch, took my shower and dressed and then hung out with Blue

on the bed. I decided to get up and go get an oatmilk latte. I was thinking before I left,

that I really need to encourage myself to start getting ready for this major trip in September

(which is the really big/important news I mentioned to my boss.) It's getting real now...and

I need to get going on all the moving parts...

I kind of wished I had someone to encourage me but then I reckoned that I can do it,

on my own. I've done it before ...and so it goes.... I wish I could express more.

I'll talk to my therapist soon about it all. Sending peace and good vibes out there to you

guys!

Fantasy love and partnership no mixie? i'm not sure i could have survived 43 years with my dearly beloved without heaping helpings of fantasy love. no, i ain't a-gonna take the fantasies to the bank, but they sure got me through allot of bad days. methinks i would have dumped the chump long ago without them. methinks those fantasies also inspired many of the tweaks and tunings that have made our partnership strong enough to endure this second parenting career.

no, you don't wanna take the fantasies too seriously, but i find it helps to let them inspire. namaste that cutiepie. respectfully, of course.

dare to dream.

An upcoming trip? Amazing!
I talk to some friends who are former coworkers about how work crushes are essential. Those little lifts that get us through the day. I’m sure in my retail life I was probably that to some of my customers over the years. Those little human zings in the day that keep life interesting and alert. For years I had a crush on a train conductor I used to see on an interstate route. A little pep in the step.

But it hurts when we develop deeper feelings than those daydreams and wish for something more concrete. Yes, i understand that well.

Youre not alone in feeling alone, as they say. Whoever they are. But it’s worth acknowledging the fact that these feelings are alive and awake within you! There is more to life than just living the blues sometimes, and those are sincere feelings to have and to allow yourself to have and maneuver with all the wisdom you now have in your noggin.
