coming back from my big bro's house

went to the dentist today for a cleaning, then right afterword I drove up to

visit with my brother in Ojai,CA. I gave him something he is helping me with

and then we walked to get a vegan burrito. We talked and hung out in the garden

on chairs by a little table at his home- and we just spent time.
It got hot in the sunshine and so then we moved to the covered porch.

We talked for a while which was nice.

Then I have to tell you, my flight or fight response came to me - I just lost

my sense of conversation - and at that point I decided to fight the urge to make a hasty retreat.

I waited for a little a while and then I decided to head back to Agoura. He didn't

seemed put off by it - in fact he said - be sure to snip some oranges of his tree.

They ARE SO DELICIOUS!

So I came home - it was a very nice time - and I got back to the mindset of taking care of my life.

My siblings live a much more free and afluent life than me - but I think in reflecting on that now -

that was the issue that just kind of resonated as I drove back home - THAT - in part was it - however

I was glad to see my bro - and yet I guess that voice of feeling low about myself, my talents or lack there of,

and my small life. But in truth I bet a lot of brothers and sisters experience this somewhat with each other.

I can answer my own questioning and be self soothing. I am doing alright and pretty well considering the condition I have. Better to remember to soothe my own woes - to think about them - to remember what they are and what they mean... I am so grateful for my life and grateful for you guys as well!!!!

You guys rock!

peace

You often put me in mind of my best beloved sis. She and I often joke that between us, there is balance. Our dispositions and life choices are mostly polar opposite of one another. For sure, I often feel dwarfed in the presence of her gentle and patient perseverance. She sometimes wishes she was hyper enough to ricochet to other continents. We both suffer from damaged self-esteem, so you do the math on how often we make one another feel inferior without deliberate intention.

Between us, there is balance and, love 'em or hate 'em, there is no substitusky for a sibling.

Hey! ! ! Where's my tree-ripened oranges? ? ?

Bogart. . .

Tree ripened fruit is a whole different fruit than ones that are picked green enough to survive shipping.

That is the best way to share time with siblings. Fresh fruit is so, so sweet!

And, it's normal to be aware of the differences in our lives from those of our siblings.

Here's to finding balance and sweet words to make the calming relaxation continue!

Glad you had a nice visit. And what a treat - fresh California oranges!!! I would soo love to have an orange tree or lemon tree.

My siblings and I are different but yes, we balance each other out. Very grateful for them.
