Colleen in hospital again.
Colleen was admitted to the ICU ward on Wednesday last week, with heart failure and lung infection. She is much better now, and in a normal ward. Fortunately she does not realize the severity of her condition, so she is enjoying the hospital stay. The staff take very good care of her.
Today I cracked up and started crying. At times it just gets too much for me. The hospital is in our nearest town, an hour's drive from home. My son took leave from his work to take me to hospital and back every day. I am so grateful for his love and caring! I go to the hospital in the mornings, and then stay with Colleen the whole day. They always give me special permission to stay with her all day. My older daughter also took leave from her work to look after my 2 granddaughters at home. I do not have much money or an easy life, but God blessed me with wonderful children! The doctor said that Colleen will probably be discharged tomorrow. I truly hope so!!

THOUGHTS OF COLLEEN. TRY NOT TO LET YOUR OWN THOUGHTS OVERWHELM YOU. MEDICINE HAS COME A LONG WAY AND CAN SAVE US, SUCH AS IT IS. YOU\'RE LUCKY TO HAVE STRONG FAMILY TIES. BIG HUG FROM BOSTON!!!
Sending you and your family lots of prayers and hugs. Though difficult to deal with, do know that and remember that all is in God\'s hands and He will do what is right in His eyes. I learned much in caregiving for my wife prior to her passing, including patience, acceptance of things I can\'t change, and love of God and life. Caregiving for a family member is extremely difficult, but having known you for quite some time now, I know you will always be the best mom Colleen could ever dream of having. You have always done a fantastic job, and I know will continue to do so. I hope Colleen is back home and doing well. Give your son and daughter a big hug for their caring too. Hugs, Dan
