Climbing out of the doghouse

On Thursday night, my wife caught me in a lie.  She had not known that I chew tobacco when I'm stressed.  She found it and when she confronted me about it and I started an argument about it.  It was terribly wrong of me to do this only because I got caught.
I have a fear of confrontation which causes me to lie about the dumbest things.  I joined this support group on Friday and it is nice to know that I'm not alone on this.  My wife and I spoke about the situation and we both agreed that I need to fix this.
I am going to make it a point to write in my journal as much as possible.
Today was a good day overall.  I was definitely doing my best to be aware of where my mind goes throughout the day.  I know I can beat this thing and provide my wife and future children a loving husband and father.
