Christmas that didn't happen. Unbelievable!!!!!!!

It's been rough few weekd. I think if I was reading it I would not believe all we have been through...
I will start with we have had Christmas with no one.
Except 1/2 hour with my Grand daughter Rylie. Soon as she opened her presents my son got a text from his brother to try to get their dad out of jail.  He was on a 100,000 bond so he had to come up with $10,000, after banks had closed on Christmas Eve. He has been indicted on 2: counts rapem videdo without consent and one more thing. I know it is true as he did this to me plus attempted murder. I never did anything. Filed no charges. But finally after many women someone got the proof. Now i hear he is either has or is planning on skipping the US. If anyone wants to report him canat a Private Hotline in Ohio County, Ky. I can't as if my kids found out I would lose them and if the asked I would not be able to lie. Hope someone does
2.  Day after Christmas headed to Va to hubby's kids for Christmas. Got caught in a 4 1/2 hour wreck sadly to say someone did get killed. A tanker truck had turned over in the complete highway, a SUV hit it.!  It started snowing, icing up so we spent the night and came back home the next morning due to weather. Still no Christmas!!
3.  Left again about two weeks later, got there not even a full day get a second call in a month that my husband's mother is dying. She is in Ohio. We are in VA. We head out. Snow and sleet started   We went over two mountains through two blizzard. Terrible driving.
4.  We arrive his mother is sleeping or something, kidneys had shut down.  We were running on 3 hours of sleep. I layed down for a second and fell asleep. When I woke I smell this smell that I have had since Ken was in the hospital.  Pray you never have i. When I woke I had the smell horrible smell, a black cloud passed over and I almost lost whatever food I had had. I had to leave the room it was worse than Ken's. No one else can smell it but me. I finally looked it up. It is called "the death Smell".
5. I sat in the lobby. A lady asked if I waned to sit in the family room(this is a nursing home). The room was large. I sat on the end of the couch with my ipad. I guess I dozed off next I am being screamed at that I did not live there I could go back to my mother n laws room or leave. I tried to explain. No one was even using this hugh room. I was only sitting on one corner of the couch. They made me move to a small room in the back and I could still smell he smell. They all knew it was a matter of time before she died. I went to my husband crying. I did not know what to do i did not want to leave but he told me to go back to the hotel and there is at least 5 inches of ice..i went back and probably 20 min I get the call she had passed. The nursing home has not heard the last from me. They acted as if I was a homeless person seeking warmth. Even if I was they should have cared. We came home for a couple days for clothes then went back for the funeral.
6 no Christmas,  three blizzards,  run out of nursing home within short time of her death. Leaving on snow and ice as a lot of us.
7 Tension fills our home as all this brings all of Ken's death back to me. My husband of course is grieving. I am grieving for her and still for Ken.
So much more, but tired of writing. Will follow up later
Love to all. Sad of losing his mother, sad I have not seen my family for Christmas.  This is the Christmas we kept trying to have that didn't happen..

Dear Sandi. I am so sorry. It has been a crappy time. I am horrified to think that someone who is supposed to be caring would be so rude and heartless.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Hugs, Marlene

Sandi, I am so sorry to hear all you have gone through recently. I have smelled the \"death smell\" when someone I loved was very ill. It is a horrible and indescribable odor. The nursing home was cruel to treat you that way. You were exhausted and worried about your MIL and they should have allowed you a bit of respite. How cruel!
Your ex should remain in jail for what he has done to women but I can understand how your sons must feel in that they don\'t want him to remain in jail. Sandi, take the time to grieve your MIL and be gentle on yourself. Losing her must be bringing up all the past experiences from when precious Ken was ill. Tight hugs of understanding, Linda

I smelled that \"death smell\", for several days, when my husband was in hospise. I asked a nursw what that smell was and she said, \"death\". How blunt and cruel could she be?? I hope to never smell that kind of sweet smell again.
I am sorry about the loss of your MIL... That nursing home should be sued!! This whole damn world seems to have gone crazy!!!

I am so sorry to hear about the terrible things you went through. Reliving your Ken\'s passing while your MIL was in a similar situation, must have been agonizing! And then the cruel reaction from the nursing staff...! My dear friend, I pray that the Lord will comfort you, and bless you with His peace.
Loving hugs! xoxo

Sandi, I am so sorry about all those terrible times that you went thru. I just logged on to DS and just by chance saw your name. I hope you are feeling better now. It has been a little warmer in Georgia but started back raining today. I think of you often and hope you are doing ok.
Your friend,
Nell
