Christmas Eve approacheth.......fa la la la la la la la la!

Wishing you a blessed Christmas Eve......!

I'm taking a break.......yay!  Peeled hard boiled eggs, mixed up the potato salad...ready for tomorrow.  Might have to taste test it with tonight's Christmas Eve Dinner for One!

I put the baby roast in at 1:30, so I should be dining by five.  Made fresh green beans, Mom's baked beans.......when the roast comes out I'll be sliding something in to bake. So far I'm thinking walnut fudge brownies......

Took a lot of vroom vroom to clean up the kitchen, can't believe how much mess I can make with ease!  After browning the roast for an hour I added spices, creamy mushroom gravy.......and tin foil to keep it moise.  In a little while I'll add one potato in long slices, let that roast in the gravy until tender.  I'm really trying to make it festive and delicious for little ol' me.  I may go crazy and break out some tuna for the cat kids......!!!!  Why not spoil all three of us this night?

I felt so happy when I got my mail yesterday, I had some Christmas cards......it hurt not sending cards this year.  I bought the stamps and never managed to do the cards.  I bought some really lovely cards after Christmas for this year.......and sigh, there they are in the garage in a clear container waiting on industrious girl to arrive and get 'er done.  I miss industrious happy girl........not that I have no happiness, it's just more limited based on such limited energy.

As always I'm doing a load of clothes.  LOL........in a little bit I'm going to lie face down on my bed, lean way down over the side and slide a long handled swiffer underneath the bed to see if I can find my angel.  She's not quite 3' side to side......with blonde metal hair......and a wooden body.  I gotta find her.......I finally went upstairs to see if she was up there, but NO.  It may be late but I want to see her before tomorrow morning......it seems I can give up my tree, the bulk of the decor, but a few things make it seem more festive, right........like it's time.  Wish me well finding her.......!!!!!

When Sara was little we had moved from one apt to another and she was so worried that Santa wouldn't know where she lived now......so her brother Sam and I made Santa Boot Footprints, sprinkled the cardboard cut-outs with carpet fresh.....so the first thing she saw that morning was a trail of Santa Claus that led from the fireplace to the tree.......you should have seen her ......all wide eyed wonder, squeals of delight..........SANTA CLAUS had not forgotten to come to our house!

I hope you have a tradition you plan to enjoy this evening or tomorrow.  I'll be thinking of you........wishing you Merry!  Soft hugs!!!!!
