Chicks!
Not the young girl kind! Two hens are 'sitting' in the chicken house, I'm apt to be a 'Grand-rooster' soon! Here's my latest conclusions: 'Codependent No More' by Melody Beattie, is a good book to understand the problem behaviors of codependents; 'Beyond Codependency' by Melody Beattie, explains the source of the problem behaviors; 'You Can Feel Good Again" by Richard Carlson, begins to give the solutions for recovery; "You Can Be HAPPY No Matter What" by Richard Carlson presents Five Principles connected to the 'YCFGA' book that start to tie the solution systems together. I was really busy yesterday (so please forgive me for not going through all your journals at the moment) still working on my Three pages for my Grad School application; today it took all day rewriting all three of those @#$%^&*() -ing pages... again! Let's see: one of them at least 15 versions, another about 7, the third about 4. The good thing is...I'm learning to speak plain english, not 'impressive'-eze, or 'scientic-paper'-eze. It's geting so simplified and straight forward that eventually I'll just write "Hi" in my journal and you'll all understand what I mean ! Ready for another Poem? The Crape Myrtle Trees On an enlightened journey, is the trip I'll guide you, to a joy at the end of the days on earth, All you need is an imagination, a searching mind, a will to believe, and some solem mirth. I'll ask you to close your eyelids, open your mind's eye, as you vision a Crape Myrtle Tree, Perhaps more than one, but first I'll describe, only the one that I now will want you to see. Just before the spring, buds green as it's leaves, wherever you may choose to place it, And if you see it standing there, watch it closely, until with flowers I will choose to grade it. First, flowers of pure white, as many as you like, the lot opened, or some yet to find the sun. Changes those flowers only then, to some of red, and next the soft purple kind, you're done. Now fly yourself to the far northeast, seldom seen, with less light, yellow will be their shade, Travel then to the nile, up past Victoria Falls, into the jungle, lime-green is the color made. Now you're on to it, you've got the game; one more to end this tour, a surprize to your mind, Into the headwaters of the Amazon, a dark forest, its flowers are the blackest black in kind. We're done for now, with this 'trip', to show you how your mind creates things not real to see, To my knowing, there are no flowers of yellow, lime, or black on any Crape Myrtle Tree. What you just saw, truth br told, is why we took this trip, to show what you've yet seen, That there is no one, no surgeon, who can see thoughts the in mind of a fellow being. Those scenes have no PLACE, there's no screen, projector, projectionist, found in your head! Your visions cannot be removed, shown to anyone else, doctors cannot find it's only bed. The 'brain' exists, and the 'mind', others use them to explain terms 'real' to you and me. But the phrase "You're in this world but not of it", numbs minds desparate for a true clue. Know then as you read this, with a mind that is not physical in mass, age, or description, Yet as it existsnon-physically, it experiences life on earth, through its body, our conscription. So when I die, as you will too, I will not remove from earth any anatomy of my body's form, It all stays here, and turns to dust, lifeless, yet my active mind still lives, by another norm. It'll have no face to shave, hair to cut, no reflection in a mirror of what had once been me, No clothes to wear, no arms and legs, no mouth for eating, or eyes to see, it is now free. As my mind is then non-physical, no worry to cut myself shaving, no blood we'll be seeing, You see, without veins or blood, or a Heart, I cannot die, my mind's now an eternal being. Good night,
