Cherry Grove Blossoms at GMU
There is a lovely Cherry Grove near the Pond at the Performing Arts Center at George Mason University. I often go to shows and this pond is one that you walk by from the parking lot to the center. Here are more Cherry Blossoms. An alternative to the Tidal Basin.

We have cherry trees up here but they are much smaller and not really edible and with big seeds so you don't get much to taste.
It looks like those trees where you are, grow the flowers before the leaves. My magnolia tree does that which is the first tree I ever saw do that.
Isn't nature amazing?
Beautiful pictures, Linda. Thanks for sharing them!
Even more beautiful by the water!! I love the pic with the little bridge. Cherry Blossoms are a sign of spring, but you wouldn't know that here. Yesterday it was 29 degrees when I woke up! Still frigid here!! I'm glad you went to see those beautiful trees & thanks for sharing!
