Chapter 3
Chapter 3 Objection#3 Evolution Explains Life, So God Isn't Needed. 1. Describe the education you received in evolution. In what ways did it affect your outlook toward God? Well at the time although I believed in God, I wasn't a Christian although I would have called myself one. I didn't have a real relationship with Jesus Christ. My education only taught evolution as a concrete fact with no other explaination. So that is what I believed, even after I became a Christian, I believed that. It wasn't until I was in church for several years and realized that people believed the Bible from Genesis to Revalations (sp). That they believed in a letaral 7 days of Creation. I had to re-elavuate(I hate misspelling words) all that I knew, or thought I did. My brother-in-law studies about Creation a lot though the group Answers in Genesis, and so I read the magazines and books from that group and others. 2. Before reading this interview with Bradley, how specifically did you believe life arose on earth? Did the interview change your viewpoint? How and Why? I believe now in a 7 day creation, and the interview just shored up what I already believe, I am willing to admit that there are times when I doubt but I come back to God and who his is. 3.Based on the evidence, do you believe it's reasonable to infer the existence of an Intelligent Designer? Why or Why not? In Light or the facts, do you believe it would take more faith to believe life arose naturalistically or through an intelligent cause? I believe it is reasonable to believe in God and that he made the universe and all of creation, based on the facts and on faith. I never thought of it before but it does take a tremendous amount of faith to believe in evolution, but I never had a problem with it, until I knew God and that God is the creator of all things. On a more personal note, I have been feeling ok here lately. In the morning I wake up stiff and my back and sides hurt. My sides are more tender then anything. Once I start moving around that pretty much goes away, thankfully. By the end of the day I feel achy all over, add to that my dizzyness that hits from time to time. But you know what, my pastor just did a sermon on complaining and I tend to complain a lot. So I am going to try to stop. Please Lord help me.
