change in plans
I was going to go to a local nature park today, called the "Peter Strauss Ranch."
When I researched it just now I found it was closed due to the fires that happened around
a year and a half ago. It was destroyed. I will look for something else.
It definitely is a lot easier to sit and do nothing than to get up and get out into the world.
I am realizing that about myself. I get such anxiety about making 'a move' in any which
way - and yet if I look at the issue as "a gift to myself" - maybe I can figure something out.
In the coming weeks, I want to go to the Huntington Gardens in Pasadena. It's a 1.5 hour drive
from here - but it's really an amazing place. I think I might also want to go to the Getty Center.
It's a fantastic art museum that is situated on top of a mountain and has amazing vistas of part
of the city.
It's weird doing this just for myself but I've got to do something! :)
I hope you guys are having a good morning! xx

it's funny too, how we might think of doing something on our own - and then it might be just a nice distraction
or not that great - part of me feels like I'd like to report back a fantastic experience to someone - but since
it's just for me I have to be ok with that sometimes it will be fun and sometimes it will be just not that great.
That's ok though.
Today is going to be a quiet day. I got up a little later than usual 6am- then threw on my clothes and went to
the Starbucks for my weekly (on Saturdays) Chai Latte. It's really good. A little sweet but good.
Then I came home and just ate some fruit and cheese and biscotti (that my Dad gave me yesterday.)
Blue was vocal and so I fed him -
Played with Blue and gave him lots of cuddles and attention...
Now I opened a beer... Yes early in the morning - and researching potential adventures! So it goes.
Peace.
it's coming to me that everyone is struggling to create their life out there. Makes me more compassionate for others
and myself..It's hard but I totally want to cheer my friends on who are doing it!
