CHANGE

October 2, 2009:  Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.....  I am trying!  I seriously have, what I believe, an enemy at work.  No, I am not delusional.  It is the same person I have mentioned in other journals.  This time, after an incident with a student, she accused me, based on hearsay, of breaking confidentiality!  I would never, ever, do that!  As a result, I have been removed from my regular position of working with the autistic kids.  Now I will be in the general classrooms helping those who are struggling.  I don't have a problem with what I will be doing.  But, the autistic kids have truly been my salvation!  I love that job.  I may or may not get to go back with them.  It is all being "investigated".  Amazing how one person can turn your world upside down based on something they were told.  I cried all day, yesterday!  I have not hurt this much since Scotty and Melissa passed away.  That is how much it means to me!  I met with my principal and did manage to correct some things he had been mis-informed about.  We will see...  Obviously I am making a long story, short. My husband did remind me to look at this a different way.  The person causing the trouble for me will no longer have me as a scapegoat.  So, when things get messed up, tasks aren't complete, etc., there can be no fingers pointed at me.  And trust me, these things will happen.  This incident has lit the fire under me to complete my book.  That may not go anywhere but if it does, maybe I can make enough money to tell who I want, to go you know where!  On a better note, Christopher's surprise party was a success.  There weren't a lot of people in attendance but there were enough to have a nice time.  It was great to have some of his friends over. Remember when I wrote about the Extreme Makeover house down the road from me?  Well, that show will air this coming Sunday, Oct. 4.  Of course many of you got a sneak peek in my photos so it will not be such a shock.  I am eager to see the inside. I was off work today!  Yea!  I really needed the day off after yesterday.  Craig and I met, for a pizza buffet, after he got off work.  That was nice.  I do love my pizza! Please say a prayer for Scott's friend Kenneth.  He has been in a coma since July 11 due to a car accident.  He is breathing on his own, is now in a long term care facility, and continues to fight.  I love this kid!  He was one of Scott's pallbearers and one of the kids that continued to come visit.  He is also a friend of Adam's but would even visit me when Adam wasn't home.  This has sure brought up a lot of "stuff" in me.  I just don't want to lose another young person or see another mom join this awful "club" of wonderful people!

I like that what you said about change the way you look at things.....I need to try this ! Sorry you are having trouble still with that someone at work. Some people just need to always be causing trouble. They need prayer !! I will add Kenneth to my prayer list. I hope it starts to improve. Try not to worry about the situation at work....it will all work out for the better. Have a good weekend Ginger !! Hugs, Kim

Sometimes people do things that cannot be explained and are downright evil.
I had a situation at work last year that was insane, I felt like I was being stalked and set up by a woman I thought was my friend. I am sorry someone did that to you, it does hurt so much as it is an attack on who you are.
You have so much going on, it seem life just keeps throwing it our way, but we stay strong and move forward. I hope it all works out, and God Bless Kenneth
and his parents. hope and hugs, Rebecca

I think your husband has a great way to look at the situation and I would tell those investigating the incident exactly that, that you welcome this new position so that you can no longer be trapped in the middle of this persons accusations and false blame. Best of luck. I know it\'s hard with co-workers because you spend more time with them than your own family sometimes. I\'m glad the party was a success and I will have Kenneth and his family in my prayers. Good to hear from you. Much love. Robin

This sucks...I hate it when people are blamed for things they have not done and it becomes difficult to prove. Your years of service and your honest love for these children should prove to all involved your innocence. Shame on that person...hopefully soon everyone will know the reality. I just hate for you to go through more...love to you...Karen

Wow, you have a lot on your plate, but hopefully, truth prevails. I am going through somewhat similar things at my work. Being a commission paid dog groomer, I am being attacked by the \"dog hogs\", as we call them. Unfortunately for me, I am the newest groomer, so I guess they resent me for taking dogs from them. Who knows? It is a \"dog eat dog world\" out there, especially during slow times.

I am sure it will be exciting for you to watch the extreme makeover show!

My thoughts are with Kenneth as he recuperates. I do hope it is 100%.

Hugs, Belinda

Saying prayers for Kenneth & his family - so sorry to read about his accident in July. One of Shauns friends pulled out of a coma - & lived, the power of prayer is amazing. Nice that you had a good celebration for Christopher - it\'s those moments that make up our lives - not the work crap - your co-worker sounds like a manipulating ugly person - & remember what goes around comes around - You just stand tall & do your new job; regardless & please don\'t interfere with the investigation - a dear friend of mine just lost her job of 20 years - for that reason - she comes over regularly now - on week days - her & I worked corporate legal together for 6 years & I transistioned back to medical - she stayed - 20 years of her life gone - for no good reason - except a co-worker who got ugly with her. Don\'t make yourself sick over this Ginger - thank God you have a job - and let nature take it\'s course like your husband has said - Nice people shouldn\'t be treated this way - unjustified BS, just perk up and see what the following weeks bring. Hoping you get some rest - & take a new attitude to work with you on Monday. love you,

My Dear Friend, sorry I have been away from the site for awhile. It\'s school holidays and we\'re trying to get the last bits done on the garage/cottage before Ross leaves again next week. My heart is with you as you sort through this mess. As you say, this time she may have gone too far and actually done you a favour. It will soon be apparent who makes mistakes etc and you might find that working with the other kids, although not as satisfying as the autistics kids (as you know, I DO understand!), the change might give you a bit of a rest from the daily challenges for awhile. Sit back, enjoy the change and watch as this women shoots herself in the foot. Love to Kenneth and his family... and of course, to you. Love Charlotte. xox
