Cevyn is coming!
Yahoo! Our granddaughter is coming to visit next Friday! She will only be here for 3 days but It gives me my Cevyn fix! We go to Ottawa next month to her grad.
Life has been hectic as usual. This evening I was at a 4 hour session to learn about the ins and outs of being on a condo board. It was informative but tiring! I prefer meetings to be in the daytime.
It has actually been warm for the last couple of days. It is wonderful trading in my parka for shorts and sandals!
We were in Edmonton to visit our son and DIL on the weekend. They live 3 hours away. Red Deer is 1.5 hours away. We lived there for 20 years and we have friends there. Our good friends Marie and Roy were celebrating their 25 wedding anniversary so we spent Monday with them and about 30 relatives! We are honorary family members. We spent the night with them before heading back to Calgary.
I am thankful to be busy because, when I have down time, I get quite weepy - like now. After four years, I am able to participate in, and enjoy life but when I am not busy, I realize how much I miss Lisa. I miss the phone calls; hearing her voice. After 4 years I am still shocked by the fact that she is not here.
Whoever said that we 'get through the loss of our precious kids, but we never get over it', is so right.
Lisa: I am sitting here with tears wishing with all my heart that I could hug you and hear you say "I love you Mummy". I miss you always and love you forever. Mummy

It is so true even this early on. When I am being used and busy I am starting to feel alive. When I have down time, I am down. Enjoy your Cevyn!
Gentle ((hugs)) shared for the pain and so very thankful for all that is good in our lives.

I hear ya my friend....\"busy\" is a great tool...
Love you!

It fills our heart to be able to hug and touch our grandaughters. Mine, reminds me so much of my son and for a brief time, I\'m connected to him through her. I hope your three days with Cevyn are full of love, joy and sharing.
Hugs, Debbie
How exciting to spend time with your granddaughter. Enjoy every minute and create those memories that we hang onto forever. I\'m with you in missing the phone calls--everyday, every minute...sigh......Much love to you and so many hugs for you today! Vicki
So happy for you to spend time with your grandchild!! I wish you peace and happiness when you are together. xoxoxo
That seems to be our life now doesn\'t it? Even in the happy exciting times our tears can still flow. At least we can get to the point of feeling some happiness again. Enjoy your precious Cevyn & I hope those 3 days fill you with so much joy so it holds you over until the next time you see her.
Awesome. I hear ya about staying busy. It seems in the quiet or feeling exhausted times is when the stab in the heart comes. I recall good advice when I first joined Fmo, distractions. I remember zoning out playing a game on Facebook. Much love to you. Sue xo
Enjoy, Cevyn...I also have found the key is to stay busy...not real good with down time either. Hugs, Ann
Savor your Cevyn fix and grateful that you have been engaged with family and friends.
Each of us must learn what helps us and I find I need both... Times of activity and also quiet time.
Loving care my friend and happy that you got to trade in your parka for sandals.
XO Joanie
So happy for the joy of your granddaughter, so so special. Have some fun!!!!! xoxoxo
I\'ve never thought about it being a blessingme not having reciprocal conversations with my Lisa --due to her young ageThank you for giving me something to think about
I\'m glad you\'re getting a \"Cevyn fix\" (love that!). Yay! And I enjoyed reading about how you and your hubby are \"honorary family members\"--Love it!
Hoping that warmer weather will stay with you for awhile! Enjoy! Love, Donna
I am with you, Marlene! Busy is what keeps me going. Even when I feel like I hate my job, I know I would be lost without it and my co-workers! Enjoy your days with Cevyn! I am jealous LOL, I have no grandies!
Peace.
Life is good when busy. Life can be a drag so I work out cannot lose any weight. Stress weighes to much, it cannot be worked off with weight lifting or running the eliptical. Wish I knew the secret.
I would share I promise LOL
