CAT Scan & Pre-admit tomorrow

Yay!

I still have brusing from my angiogram May 30th, but I'm ready to move on. I find the waiting to be my worst enemy.

I have the pre-admit at 9am, where they will do blood tests and send me for an x-ray. Then off to have a CAT scan for 12:30.

I was told by the surgeon that it could be up to 5 months after the CAT scan before surgery. Then someone told me if they do a pre-admit, it's usually within 5-10 days for surgery. Next person told me it could be 5 weeks after pre-admit. Today, I was told that the norm for heart surgery is 30 days after pre-admit (or they have to do another pre-admit).

I had a dream that my surgery was on June 30th. I was speaking to the woman at the surgeon's office and asked if I was scheduled for surgery yet, and she said no - scheduling was crazy. So I told her I had a dream the surgery was on June 30th. She chuckled and said "Well, I don't have a date for you yet, but I can tell you that you won't be having surgery June 30th. Dr. Chu isn't in surgery that day.

So, I opted for June 22nd (in my mind). I am hoping it is soon. The waiting increases my fear, and I still have a lot of living to do. At this point, I feel like I am in limbo.

Let's see what tomorrow brings. :)
