Cardinals
I remember reading somewhere that seeing a Cardinal was a sign, or a visit, from your loved one. I seem to see a lot of them and when I do, I thank both my daughter and my God. So here is my problem and it pains me to put this into words. I guess I just want some reassurance. Doubts creep in...what if it's just a bird??? Despite my prayers and tearful begging, I have only had one dream with my precious child since I lost her, nearly a year and a half ago. The dream was amazing...we were flying, holding hands, she never spoke to me but I held her beautiful face in my hands, covering her with tearful kisses and laughing with joyful glee at being with her.
I try to remember...even from a scientific level, energy never dies, it just changes form. My baby isn't really gone, she is just changed...but those damn doubts, fears.
Please be honest with me...if this is a lack of faith, I need to hear it. If others feel the same way at times, how do you cope???

Your child exists in every cell of your body, right where she was made. We are all part of a plan, a plan we do not get to see and understand. Please, tell your drs., be honest, and do get counselling, if possible.
These dark days do get lighter, the pain recedes, little by little. Finally, after 5 years, I\'m able to have light memories of my Jake, without all the sharp pains. Sometimes, he makes me smile. Never forgotten.
Be gentle and patient with yourself, you know that you\'re G-d\'s creation, and though we cannot see it, has plans for our futures. Love, hugs, abby
What\'s so healing with this is that seeing the cardinal makes you pause, think of your Cassie and give thanks. If nothing more than that, it\'s am amazing grace to have these moments. Cardinals were a sign for my mom of my late brother and when she described the times they showed up and didn\'t leave, the days that she so needed a boost, it still makes me smile. She called them her happenings.
Feathers are a way that Doug speaks to me. I will never forget my little granddaughter who would always find feathers and say that Doug had come to say hello. One day I picked up a feather on our path and said, \"I wonder if this is from your uncle?\" She replied without skipping a beat, \"Mimi, sometimes they are hellos from Uncle Doug and sometimes they are just from birds who have dropped their feathers.\" Out of the mouth of babes and she was about four at the time when she said that. She could feel in her heart the ones that truly were signs from her uncle and the ones that were not. Now, my take on it is that if it makes us feel closer to our sons and daughters then the healing is there.
I have never had a dream such as you have had so what a gift that IS. I receive more signs and feelings and my dream world is so very vivid, yet not with dreams such as you speak. What a confirmation that was for you in every way Gina, of your Cassie living free and BEing with you in this beautiful way.
Loving care always and SO much understanding around the questions, doubts, the mystery... ALL of it.

What a beautiful dream you had of the two of you, that would have made my day for sure. I cant help but think that a visit from a red cardinal is a definite sign of some one who was very dear to us. My father, the last time I seen one. I know that they are sort of rare and bright red in the gray of winter, so the bird is a stunning sight to see, but I have been sort of raised with this belief that the bird is a form from a person who has passed that is visiting. Dear Gina. It is not lack of faith. I think we all wonder when we have signs. But now I have no doubts. Lisa comes as birds - often noisy ones! I had times when I thought that it was just me imagining things. Now I realize I am not. It makes me smile when I hear the birds. I think about Lisa and how she loved her home in the country, the hummingbirds at the feeders she had outside her kitchen windows. I think about her slogging in to the garden with her rubber boots going out to feed chickens. And i smile.
Our girls are part of us - they are with us always. When the cardinal comes, I believe Cassi is reminding you that she is there. I know when I am feeling really down, Lisa reminds me by some noisy birds in unexpected places, or a bird that looks at me and doesn\'t move. I just know it is her.
Cassi is!
Love and tight hugs,
Marlene
There are times when I am down in life that I see something and think, \"That is Josh!\" We don\'t have cardinals here but not so long ago when I was down, a robin kept fluttering near every window of every room in the house as I moved about and then outside again when I was in the car. I really think it was him. Sometimes it is pennies at a tough time.
I have also doubted this same fact a few times. My Colleen loved birds and butterflies, and every time I see birds or a butterfly close to me, or if I pick up a feather, I believe that they are signs from Colleen! I feel that the doubt and fear that I am fooling myself, is totally unfounded! Doubt and fear are only emotions, but my precious Colleen still is, and forever will be!!!
Gentle hug! xxx
Oh Gina, of course there would always be doubts and fears. We are only human. But every time that there is what I believe to be a sign from Jared, I tell him hello and that I love him. Because I wouldn\'t want to miss any possible opportunity to connect with him.
I know our children are all around us in lovingly perfect energy. And one day we will all be part of that.
So keep open to those signs and tell Cassi that you love her!
Tight hugs,
Diane
Gina, Eddie communicates with me through license plates - significant numbers and letters. My feeling is - hey, when I get to Heaven & Ed says, \"Really, mom, license plates?\" then we will have a good laugh. Until then, the signs comfort me. But in all seriousness, I have gotten messages only he and I would know. And one thing my grief counselor told me (and her expertise being grief, she has heard many stories of different signs), is to embrace the signs. We can choose love or doubt. Just choose love and know that this is Cassi close by. I believe along with you! Love to you and dearest Cassi, Linda
I have a strong faith..but doubts creep in sometimes..it is human..you are human. I only had one of those wonderful dreams too. I have had others, but Patrick did not interact with me in them.
If this makes sense and I hope it does maybe it will help. I was told before my son passed he talked a lot about birds he saw them in special formations. Tara ask the pastor is anything in the bible was about birds and why they come to people. He found nothing. So are the birds a sign he was leaving this earth, and are they a sign all is well ? All I know is what people have told me, So are the birds here to escort souls to heaven and also say hi to the ones left behind ?
Sending hugs your way
Penny
