Canadian-American Healthcare Insurance idea
I have a very unique and forward thinking idea...no doubt it will really piss off the health Insurance industry ,,which I a good thing,,,,make them sweat a bit ,This is it :
Allow US citizens ages 50+ to medicare age 65 to opt into the Canadian healthcare system,,however the treatment to be rendered in the US or in some cases to be rendered in Canada (don't have that part worked out ),,the rates that are paid to Canadian hospitals would be paid to US Hospitals for that given treatment ..if they decline then ,,,they will be then be priced out of that market ,,,you get something rather than what you want ,,,,Americans who are this age are somewhat unlikely to have employer health coverage anyway,,,and will not have health care insurance,,Americans would pay X amount of dollars to a US-Canadian consordium to administer the program and the US and Canadian Gov't would kick in the shortfall,,,,Canadians would also be allowed to buy into US healthcoverage nationwide with a reciprocal condition on Canadian hospitals ,,( still to be worked out )...
Maybe I should run for President ?????..IF YOU LIKE THIS ,,,SEND A COPY TO YOUR CONGRESSPERSON AND SENATOR...LETS CAUSE A HEALTHCARE EARTHQUAKE IN THE US.
