You live in Canada? I wish Trump would do that for the US but the democratic leaders will do that faster. I think the US needs a lot of help for its people.
They can talk all they like. Like any proposal that involves money, it has to come from somewhere and in sufficient amounts to be useful and proportionate. Just how that could happen isn't clear to me. Alaska has payouts for oil each year for residents but its not universal income. Ideas sound great but when it comes to discussing funding, it gets murky. You can rob peter to pay paul but that only goes so far.
In our country, each side blames the other but when they are in power, they don’t do stuff. The media wants us to blame the other party and hate each other. Both political parties are full of power grabbing elites who get jobs as senator or representative and then stay for way too long. They end up millionaires, now how does that happen? Think outside the box and ask yourself what is the downside to any potential policy and what is the other side to the lies you read or hear on the media.
And Canada’s healthcare system can be extremely slow. Was a news article about a Canadian woman with cancer being told the wait for an MRI to check for a brain tumor was 13 months for her. All she has is the free national healthcare. Be careful in thinking there is a perfect system.
