can't stay away
Hi everyone, Well I found that I can't stay away from this site. I tried to but I just have too many friends that I depend on and love.
Steve refuses to talk to his doctor about his leg, says it is just a nerve. Well, He is a big boy and I can't make him. It comes and goes so I guess if it is cancer the pain would be constant. I will talk to the doctor at the next appointment at the end of the month. He is one stubborn man when he sets his mind to something. I am 5'4" and he is 6 feet so that is no making him do anything. Stubborn ass. LOL
Before yall jump on me for being mean you have to know that I take very good care of him. I have for the last 45 years and I will continue until one of us leaves this world. He is one spoiled man! I have done this to him or so I am told. My friends say I am hopeless in the way that I care for him! But I love the him and so I continue to do things for him. They laughed their butts off one day when I put sunscreen on his face for him!!
I have been praying for all of you. Especially dear Gloria and Tom and Meriel and D.
Keep us in your prayers too.
Love you all!
Wanda

Hello Hon,
Yep! Our men can definitely be stubborn. Hopefully, Steve\'s pain is only from a nerve. As we know...time will tell.
You are so funny. Steve is one blessed man to have a wife like you!
Hugs,
Ingrid
I like the way you take care of your man ! Since I have been retired our lives have changed so much.He loves it so much he say\'s he loves it so much he would work 2 jobs so I could stay home lol. I like my new job and its benefits :) . It\'s good to see you Wanda and know their is strenght in numbers. Hope the pinched nerve thing gets better ,depending on where it is have you tried ice ? Im sure you know what your doing ...see ya Gail
Cute, n I know all about stubborn. I had to take over telling the doc everything so I know how that goes. Good luck he is lucky to have you.
What is it about men, doctors and denial? If some would have addressed a \"pain\" earlier on the outcome many have been better. You can only do so much and you are and have been. When it gets \"bad\" enough he may agree to a doctor. I know the frustration you feel also the discouragement. Yes, he is a fortunate man to have your love.
Hugs Linda
Wanda...it wouldn\'t any different if it you who was having the problems and him trying to tell the doctor..we are all who we are and that is just the way it is. When Buddy and I would make trips to the doctor and he would ask us if there was anything new going on ....I would look at Buddy with a face that would say \"Please tell him what\' going on\" and sometimes he would and other times he wouldn\'t ...just the way it goes. Think of you often...Hugs, Ellen
After what my husband went through................I completely understand your husband not wanting to know. It is his choice to live as many days without a diagnosis as he chooses. And honestly........... Bill and I very aggressively treated the cancer and Bill died. I gotta say that I agree with the way your husband is dealing with it all.
Wanda, Steve is lucky to have you to take care of him. I know that you watch and worry, but you are always there for him. Sometimes, you just have to let them take the lead to deal with things on their own terms. I pray for you both.....Hugs Jane
Dear Wanda, Don\'t you ever leave us...I need you and your friendship....you\'ve been there for me over the most difficult time of my life. I\'ve grown to love you and your spirit. Don\'t worry about what others think about your and Steve\'s marriage. You\'ve been together for 45 years! That\'s an amazing life commitment to another. Whatever is working for the two of you is all that matters. I understand how hard it is to let go when one\'s husband makes a health decision that we may not exactly agree with. I struggled with that too a few times but am glad I let M feel a sense of control over his own body and decisions when he could. There came a time when M was too sick to make any more decisions. I hope you will never be witness to that in Steve. Let go and enjoy every minute. Love, Linda

Don\'t stay away. Your stories always bring a smile even on the darkest days. Your faith and Steve\'s sucesses are always encouraging. We have to let our men feel that they have some control over what is happening to them and just pray that God will direct their decisions in the way that He wants and that it will give them good quality of life that is as comfortable as possible.

Thank you so much for your responses. This is why I can\'t stay away. My love to each of you.

Dear Wanda
it\'s so lovely to have your smiling face back here. The good outweighs the bad, doesn\'t it? Honey, I don\'t think you have one mean bone in your body! I love you, and thank you so much for your continued prayers. We\'re doing ok.
Love and light and lots of prayers to you and your Steve,
Meriel
Dear Wanda,
Steve is doing what he has to do, knowing that he has the support of such a loving and wonderful wife.
You are both in my heart and prayers.
Love you, sweetie
