Can’t always find an answer
it’s my first day off for the weekend and I find my self trying to find some pure philosophical answer to my life. A question of my own motivations and what do I ultimately seek. My therapist is trying to suggest to me that I start to schedule things in my week and time off and it really is making sense. I am ruining my self and my day by these deep navel dives of seeking a truth or answer in my solitary pursuit of my life. Nothing can seem to make sense but I think if I add some overlying activity like she suggests it might actually give me some pleasure and meaning to my day outside of work in my free time. Right now I have been luxuriating in a glass of wine and some chocolate but in truth though that can be nice for now it is giving to that side of me that is about withdrawing from life and living in my head.

I see now when I give forethought to how I will spend my day, when alone, it’s usually been about a complete immersion, a kind of numbing or blocking out of or to my experience. I can see better now that I can deal with my feelings when alone and can make plans for myself with respect to them.
I go back to therapy on Tuesday. I really need to talk.
Hang in there Mark.
Yea, those deep navel dives can go some ridiculous places. What's in *your* navel lint? Inquiring minds need to know. Questioner to questioner, I does believe part of mastering any art form is knowing when *NOT* to.

Thanks arfie
Thinking about it again arfie, I am miserable when I am home alone but I kind of just have to own it.
Yea, ya gotta own it, but you do have options for fixing it. For sure I have yet to find options in my navel lint. I still look from time to time, but. . . Are we there yet? I bored, Mommy.
Works in progress. . .
Danke Arf!
Sorry you are having a hard time in being alone. I hope your tdoc can help you with that. Hang in there Mark.
Thanks Becky!!
