Calling Stan.....

Today as I was preparing to do laundry in the basement of my apartment building, I turned on my cell phone which I usually do, just in case I fall down the stairs, whatever, while I'm down in the "dungeon" as I call it.  I stuck the phone in my pocket and was moving around, and could hear a few bleeps coming from the phone.  I often end up unintentionally hitting a couple of digits while moving around, but this time it sounded as if it was connecting and calling out....I picked up the phone and looked at the screen.  It said "Calling Stan".  I had his number at the assisted living home in my list of telephone numbers and it normally takes me punching in several screens to call up anything from that list; I hit the cancel button as I didn't want to end up connecting to whoever has the number now.  This happened once before with the number coming up but not actually starting a call. This is so weird - but in a good way like Stan was thinking of me or trying to tell me something....maybe just that we are still "connected".  Always loved your sense of humor Stan!

What a wonderful example of how they stay connected. How comforting to think he is watching over you. Blessings! Barb

Don\'t ya wish it could be that easy to dial up our loved ones just to check in every now and then. It would be just more sadness, though, when we had to \"disconnect.\" Thanks for the smile and your upbeat sense of humor. TJ

Loved your entry....It would be totally great if it was Stan trying to get in touch. Who can presume to know what really goes on after this life? Heck, we don\'t even know all there is to know about this planet we live on. It is comforting to think of them trying to connect with us. I often find myself wondering if he could be sitting in the passenger seat next to me as he was so often the last 3 years.
Thanks for a upbeat journal entry they are always welcome.
