calling my friends
Hi everyone,
I'am anxious about tomorrow. Just want to get it over with and continue to fight this horror with all the strength we have. He has continued to take the Sutent. We will find out tomorrow if he will take it with radiation. I got on line and read about kidney cancer and radiation. I didn't like what I read and told my youngest about it and she told me to stay off the internet. Every case is different and not to believe all of it. I have declared myself off limits to reading medical reports. We will trust God and the knowledge that he will take care of us. Have you ever heard the old hymn " God will take care of you"? That has become my favorite hymn right now.
I look at the horror that some of you have lived and continue to live and pray that I am strong enough to do what has to be done.
Praying for you all,
Wanda

Remember this: Of course you can do it. And you will.
Wanda,
I am praying for you right now... May our precious Lord fill you with His peace and His hope!
You are smart to get off the internet. My daughter reached a great decision: Maybe you could try this with your daughter.
Jill would do the internet research, review medical reports and if needed we would talk with the doctors together.
I would spend the time I would have been researching.... in PRAYER on behalf of my darling Robert. It worked out well... I was able to reflect God\'s love to Bob and be fairly peaceful and hopeful.. Bob needed that... and I am hoping this may be something you might implement with your sweet husband.
Praying!! Your friend, Linda
Dearest Wanda,
I totally understand your anxiety. Waiting on these appointments is so difficult.
Yes....you are strong enough to make it through whatever lies ahead. God will beholding your hand, dear friend.
My thoughts and prayers and with you you both.
Much Love,
Ingrid
Dear Wanda, Have courage my friend....your daughter is right about not reading the internet right now. The information may be dated and talking about old methods of radiation. Technology changes rapidly and the radiation treatments are much more effective than before. As long as Steve is with you, there is hope for a better future. You both continue to be in my paryers. Let us know what the news is when you can.
Love, Linda
Wanda,
My heart is with you as you walk through another difficult day of waiting. If I had only listened to what I read on the Internet, and my daughter pressuring me to request that hospice care when the going was tough, I think I could have gone a little bit \"nuts\". But, I was able to listen to you and your positive message of an alternative outcome...you were living it. I kept telling myself that there is at least one person out there who had been living with metastic RCC for several years.
As it turns out, Ron and I are in a comfortable place for the moment. I\'m so glad that we didn\'t give up hope during that very difficult time. We are continuing to enjoy every moment and to be thankful for every moment. I know you will also.
If you are able to, spend the day doing something distracting from the worrisome thoughts. I\'m sure you have had plenty of experience with that already.
Hang in there. I need you for inspiration.
Vernell
HI Wanda
Prayers, hugs and good luck to you on the scans!
Dawn
Wanda, there is nothing worse than waiting and wondering...I can remember like it was yesterday waiting for the results of cat scans and MRI\'s..my dear husband would be on the internet the day after having them because Beth Israel in Boston would set up and account of all your medical tests, reports, blood work and every stay ..so it was a wealth of information but the biggest problem with reading the results of cat scan and MRI\'s was that fact that we were not doctor\'s. And trying to understand what we were reading ...we always seemed to read the worst possibility out of the reports...but trying to keep my husband off the computer was next to impossible. We are here and prayer for the best results you can have..you have been such a huge support to all of us in our time of need, of course, we are here for you...hugs to you, Ellen
Praying for both of you to lean on the Lord and let Him give you strength.
Hugs, Joely
Wanda,
Enjoy and treasure every moment that you share together and know that God will help you with the strength you need for whatever lies ahead.
Wanda I have faith that you will do exactly what needs to be done. I will continue to pray and send good thoughts your way. Hugs Jane
I agree with your daughter about staying off the Internet. It is just too overwhelming reading that stuff. Every case is unique and new breakthroughs are happening daily. I wish you could find a group of survivors. We met many at MD Anderson who survived remarkable odds and now volunteer at the hospital. It was very inspiring to hear some of the stories. Lance Armstrong\'s book is also very inspirational. His survival was amazing. There is always hope. I know you guys have fought long and hard, but God will give you all you need to keep up the fight.
Hugs
Angie
Sorry I\'m so late in reading your message yesterday was real busy. but I\'m sure you and Steve are in my prayers.
Dear Wanda,
I am like you - feeling so anxious almost all the time, day and night. I don\'t know if I am up to the task any more. Just pray that the doctors steer us in the right direction. I will try to journal later and bring you up to date on our radiation experience, which you should know has been positive to this point.
I am trying so hard not to be afraid. You try too.

Dear Wanda,
Trust in your doctors and your gut instinct. There have been so many advances in medicine, especiallt so in cancer treatment.
I loved your coffee story - sounds just like something that would happen to my hubby and I. The first time I saw my Rheumatologist, I not only stepped into a big wad of chewing gum on tghe street which was all over my shoes so that by the time I got upstairs I was barefoot. Then, after he\'d finished looking at my joints etc, he leaned over and said very quietly, \"I don\'t know you and I \'m not sure if I should say anything but your top is on inside out. You might like to change it before you go outside again\" What a great first impression I must have made! He is, though, a most caring and gentle doctor.
Wanda, keeping you and Steve in my heart and prayers.
Love, hugs and strength
Angel
Ill keep you both in my prayers xoxoxo
