CALLA LILIES
I FINALLY GOT SOME PICTURES OF MY CALLA LILIES. THEY ARE STILL COMING UP AND I AM WAITING FOR THE BLACK ONE. I HAVE NOT PLANTED THEM FOR YEARS AND DID NOT HAVE TREMENDOUS SUCCESS WITH THEM BEFORE. HOWEVER, THIS TIME I AM GETTING OODLES FROM JUST 10 BULBS. THEY MUST REALLY LIKE THE SPOT. THIS IS MY ROCK GARDEN THAT I MADE ALMOST THREE TIMES BIGGER LAST AUGUST. I THINK THAT I AM GOING TO HAVE TO CALL IT MY ENGLISH COUNTRY GARDEN BECAUSE EVERYTHING HAS JUST TAKEN OFF. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO KEEP IT UNDER CONTROL DUE TO LOUSY WEATHER AND A BAD BACK. HOWEVER, IT LOOKS RATHER LOVELY. I JUST NEED TO GET ONE WHOLE DAY OF JUST FOCUSSING ON IT AND THE PROPBLEM WILL BE SOLVED. I DO RATHER LIKE THE NEW LOOK THOUGH. I HAVE POSTED THREE NEW PICS OF THE LILIES FROM DIFFERENT ANGLES IN MY PHOTOS. AND I AM SURE THAT WHEN I POST THIS IT WILL GET ALL DISPORTIONATE. SO LOOK IN THE PHOTOS.
I SPENT MOST OF THE DAY HELPING MY DAUGHTER CLEAN HER CAR AND SPRUCE IT UP FOR SALE. SHE HAS A BUYER AND THE SALE WILL GO THROUGH ON MONDAY. SHE ALSO HAS A BUYER FOR HER TABLE AND CHAIRS. WELL, ACTUALLY THEY ARE MINE BUT I LENT THEM TO HER. I TOLD HER SHE COULD SELL THEM AND KEEP THE MONEY FOR HER TRIP OUT TO ALBERTA. SHE WILL NEED THE MONEY UNTIL SHE GETS A JOB. WE ALSO SPENT TIME GOING THROUGH HER TOTES AMD SORTING EVERYTHING INTO GIVE AWAY, KEEP, AND GARBAGE. IT WAS A BUSY DAY.

Looks good even with the picture distorted. I\'m not sure what is up with my lilies, or more accurately what is not up since they barely broke the ground this year. Last year they managed to get up enough to bloom but the buds didn\'t open. This year they aren\'t even growing. Last year it was totaly wet, this year it has been pretty nice.
All the pics are great but I must say that is the first time I saw one of the squished ones that really looks good too. I used to grow them and they were beautiful. Then they started to not do well so I quit growing them. I might try again after seeing yours. The one flower garden I worked in yesterday looks good but I paid for it. Naomi xo
Oh Deb, you so inspire me and help me focus on those things of beauty outside of my head. The weather here has been sooooooo hot with little rain but I have kept the gardens watered and they have done pretty well. I am going to re-work two of the rather large gardens this fall. With the back trees cut down my shade plants wont make it through another hot summer and I dont want to lose them.
I messed up, did too much, took on too much stress, and I am paying for it emotionally. It felt good to read you journal and see your happiness and contentment. I am with you in spirit for your daughter and I just know things will work out in her favor...........you are an awesome mother Deb....xo
