Butterflies...
A few weeks ago when I was home and going on my walks there seemed to be an abundance of butterflies on a particular part of the route I would take. I told my friend about it, thinking it must be some kind of sign but not knowing what. On one walk there was even a butterfly that kept circling me as I was walking for about 15 feet it just kept going around me as I kept going. Here at my mom's she's got tons of books and of course I come across a book about animal totems and meanings type of thing and here's what was said about butterflies:
If a butterfly shows up, it means:
Lighten up and stop taking everything so seriously. Get ready for a big change, one where an old habit, way of thinking, or lifestyle is going out and a new way of being is emerging. It's time to make the changes you've been considering. In spite of challenges, you'll get through this transition and as always, know that "this too shall pass." Express yourself by wearing more colorful clothing.
Kind of interesting especially at the junction I have been at. Wish it was a sign for which path to take in regards to schooling or what have you but at least it was something.
I got my hair done today, my mom paid for it as a treat ($80) because I don't like to spend money on myself in that way. I don't think I've paid more than 10 for a haircut the last 10 years. I got some serious layers and some highlights (browns and burgandy) and everyone is loving it. A little shorter than I was wanting but I know it will grow out. Cute I will admit, just different. My mom goes back to work tomorrow and I am still planning on a camping trip this weekend. Looking forward to it with the new hair cut and plans of tanning. Hope the weather will keep clear for the most part.

Sounds like you are having just a wonderful time. I got a different haircut last weekend, and I\'m still trying to figure out how to make it look like the hairdresser did!
Oh the butterflies have such symbolism. All about change, personal metamorphosis. I think, your path will present itself to you, you just need to keep paying attention to what the universe is telling you, and listen to your gut, you\'ll find what you are meant to do.
This is what birdclan.org has to say about butterfly \"medicine\".
\"Butterfly represents a need for change and greater freedom, and at the same time it represents courage: one requires courage to carry out the changes necessary in the process of growth.\"
There is a lot more. Someone reminded me a few weeks ago when Ings was seeing so many butterflies, that in the cocoon, the catepillar becomes completely liquid and actually changes it\'s dna. I think it\'s the only living thing that can do that, so it is a HUGE indicator for change.
My rule is, if I see it once, i\'ve seen it once. If I see it a 2nd time or more, then...the universe is trying to tell me something. And for some reason, that listening never includes any fear. It is actually comforting.
Big hugs. Your family sounds awesome.
Hockeymom---I will have to check out that website. Today as I was walking I kept seeing rolly pollies (don\'t know the correct name or spelling) so I am going to see if I can look them up soon. Yeah I like the hair, just a little short, barely able to put it up in a pony tail. Do you like your cut?? Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
