busy with life
Not written in a while, as I have been out there trying to get a job...actually a new carreer as JOB stands for Just Over Broke. lol. I have nearly 15 months alcohol free...I still won't say sober, as I am still struggling with weed, but that's OK...for now. At my noon meeting today, a girl chaird that I first met a year ago. She can't be more than 23 years old and I remember thinking when I first saw her, "what has she been through to end up here so young?" and I recognized a quiet strength in her. She got her 1 year chip today and has started a young peoples meeting in my town. She has been very active in AA, with gatherings, and service and after hearing her story (DAMN...she should NOT be alive today) I came away feeling pumped and that I was lacking. I will be secetary for a meeting for the 1st time on Sunday and I am nervous. But I am a greatfull alcoholic toaday.
