building anew

A member of my family is super super talented, focused and driven. It's so cool.

I find with my illness I am backed into a corner of inaction because every day it seems

like I 'lose my mind.' I know it's my responsibility to keep taking one step at a time

and appreciate my efforts...It may seem like I want to holler and wail about my challenges..

but I think if "I own this" I need take a breath and make steps toward my goals even so.

During this social distancing - I am no longer as active as I once was - and very much I need

to build a new way of dealing - build anew - my day and have as much faith and focus as I canĀ

muster to stick on target for how I want to move forward in light of all this. I go back to work

at the market on May 14. It's kind of scary - and I know I won't be able to see my family any more

since they are all quarentined and safe. But here it goes...! Here is a message that kind of supports

this idea of taking one step at a time in life... Especially now...

"My grandmother once gave me a tip:
In difficult times, you move forward in small steps.
Do what you have to do, but little by little.
Don't think about the future, or what may happen tomorrow.
Wash the dishes.
Remove the dust.
Write a letter.
Make a soup.
You see?
You are advancing step by step.
Take a step and stop.
Rest a little.
Praise yourself.
Take another step.
Then another.
You won't notice, but your steps will grow more and more.
And the time will come when you can think about the future without crying." ~ Elena Mikhalkova

I find that full, sole proprietorship of my illness allows to open myself and ^it^ more fully to the rich mosaic of life and the healing mysteries. I doesn't have to be perfect. Just honestly and sincerely available, warts and all.
