Breaks go Too Fast!!
I wanted to get so much done over Spring Break and well, it's going slowly (progress that is--time, it's a flying by). I have finished a bit of the spring cleaning and that's about it. I've been staying up too late with the kiddos and getting up too early with the puppies :)
My cousin finally text me again, a picture of her new car! I wasn't quite sure what to say since I'm feeling a bit unsettled about the money I've helped her with and my own state of financial affairs. So, I just said, "it looks a better size for a family car". She then text back that it is a Mazda 626. I just replied, "it's nice". Again, haven't heard from her since that, but have noticed her status shuffle has had a lot of interesting quips with things like "Saying nothing...sometimes says the most..." and the one about making people a priority in your life when you are only their option.
I am not feeling guilty as I would have in the past that we are not really communicating at this time. I am upset, but mainly at myself for putting myself in this position because I was feeling guilty before when I made the decision to go ahead and help when I knew I couldn't afford it. I could communicate this to her, but honestly, just don't have the energy to do so and am at a point where I'm not quite sure I should have to explain to someone that owes me a lot of money that I don't have much to say about their recent, big purchases.
Haven't heard from my "date" who was again supposed to come into town this week, but so far...no word. I am assuming this is a sign that it's not happening.
I have a plan to try to salvage my financial situation and a back-up plan of attempting some type of 3rd shift work if all else fails. This time, at least I know once I get it back together, I won't be guilted into sharing what I don't have to share!
On to my son's birthday!
