breaking the habit - or maybe just adjusting

I have been so keen on saving money...living very much

within and below my means and saving the most I can. I am on vacation

now for two weeks and I have spent liberally yesterday and today

for my home supplies and a few treats..it feels very easy to spend money

and it freaks me out a little since I have spent so much already and it's only

day two of my vacation. Maybe it's important to, well I think this is very much

the key issue, that I look at what's holding me back or making me worried.

I am reacting to the fact that I've spent some $ so quickly and easily, like breathing

air, but now that my mind is looking at a small sculpture that's around $275 (from a museum shop)

 - it freaks me out to just buy what I want. I've got to budget for the rest of my funds until I go

back to work. Weighing the pros and cons of buying this tiny sculpture - I will wait till the start of week #2

to see how much I've been spending. I've budgeted $250 disposable income for each week of vacation.

Perhaps then the $275 for one small item is too much of a stretch. I'll be taking in a paycheck each Thursday

as well, so there will be more funds than what I have for disposable purposes- but I do have to pay my bills

and staples for living. I need to get my Ipod fixed, I need a haircut, I need to pay for a new cable subsciption.

I feel more reasonable and calmed for writing it out.. We shall see!
